Massie is a big talker but accomplishes nothing. Fuck these politicians for not stopping this and selling out our countries. The people will rise.
Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie have voted against almost every single bill passed by the House to counter Russia's invasion of Ukraine https://www.businessinsider.com/marjorie-taylor-greene-thomas-massie-vote-against-ukraine-russia-bills-2022-5
Greene and Massie have voted against almost every bill passed in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The only bill Greene voted for was a non-binding resolution expressing support for the people of Ukraine.
At times, the duo have been the only votes against bills that otherwise had unanimous support.
Props to these two for being the only Republicans to not support phony Ukraine war.
Unless you're in Canada, then they just say they had to violate your rights "for the greater good".
Canada is a total dictatorship nowadays... terrible...
"Whatever you do, don't obey the laws I pass."
I don't really know the person, who posted this. I don't support his other statements.
Just this one - don't agree with the government's next lockdowns.
Sorry, if this person is corrupted, I didn't know. The words in the post are not lies though. That was my aim.
I just think it's weird that the legislator is telling people to disobey legislation.
I think every politician should go to the gallows out of principle, so I'm not the unbiased one to speak on his particular character.
Just, when the cops aren't arresting criminals, the lawmakers reject their own authority, and the courts are locked in contradictions within themselves---
Looks more like an anarchy than a government.
That's so no one will fight for this system when the UN peacekeepers show up to "restore order".
I just collect blue helmets, I don't care why they're here...
Oh, he appealed to the Constitution? Well, that settles it then. It's not like everybody and their brother doesn't have a different interpretation of every jot and tittle of the thing.
More importantly, what consequences exist for those carrying out unconstitutional orders?
Yep, exactly.
Well technically that’s what the Judicial branch is for. They are a check on legislative and executive power.
Yea, but the Courts make a decision, like Heller and Bruen and can be explicit as fucking hell, and the states will ignore it to the largest extent possible. Not to mention how colleges are trying to get around the decision banning affirmative action in college applications, or how the EPA is getting around recent decisions about water and "climate" regulations reducing their power.
By the time you have to appeal to the courts, with the hope they will set things right, you've already half lost.
The harsh reality is that governments can only enforce laws that the people allow them to enforce. This has been true forever and many unpopular descisions, even under absolute monarchies and dictatorships, have been reversed due to public sentiment turning against them. This, in turn, means that the people are collectively responsible for their own oppression.
I never got jabbed because I said no. Same with my kids. If most people refuse to comply, governments habitually pull back to avoid losing face because they just do not have the logistical power to enforce laws that people refuse to follow.
They caught us off guard last time. It was possible that Covid-19 could be particularily deadly, it was possible that lockdowns would help, it was possible that the vax would reduce severity (although it was never a possibility that the vax would eradicate the virus). So we waiting to be sure and, while we did, governments ran roughshod over our Rights.
Now that we know better, there will be no quarter.
Expose them.
I better be me than you. :D
Go away now.
No one cares.
Bot. Blocked.
Natural order (inception towards death) needs to be resisted (life); suggested orders tempt one to follow...others utilize suggestion to reduces ones resistance. Why? Less resistance offers more opportunity for exploitation.
