The only true and lasting hope is in the sermon I posted a bit ago on /Christianity titled "More than Enough Hope" by a Biblical Counselor who greatly helped me.
I want so badly for everyone to know how real this all is. I was in despair all my life trying to find purpose and happiness and other things and it all left me empty like trying to fill a leaky jar.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13
"There is a God-shaped hole in the human heart that only God can fill."

"You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in You."
If you're doing drugs, stop! It's a temporary relief and the issues come back a little stronger each time. It takes time to change the essence of a man
"He replied, 'What is impossible with man is possible with God.'
Then Peter said, 'Look, we have left what we had and followed you.'
So He said to them, 'Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left a house, wife or brothers or sisters, parents or children because of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more at this time, and eternal life in the age to come.' "
Luke 18:27-30
There is a passage (Revelation 21:7-8) that comes to mind when I have similar thoughts:
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Now, do I think the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that we are living in the End Times, and do I fear Eternal Damnation, and am I trying to convert people to the Body of Christ? No, none of these things are true.
But when I read those words, I think, "There is just no way I want to be one of those people in the second sentence. Sound like a bunch of lame-ass bitches. I would definitely rather overcometh. That there is the baller move."
So keep on truckin'. Or overcometh. However you want to say it it's the same thing.
live in it, embrace it, accept how powerless you are. no matter how much work, no matter what accomplishments you have, no amount of planning or re prioritizing will help you when your environment is pure chaos. you have control of one thing and one thing only, how you react.
I'm sure your aware, this is just the start. Society will keep changing people will still blindly follow, you will become more withdrawn.
but see, when you (and when i say you i really mean us or anyone for that matter) keep hitting rock bottom and live through it, you get to a point were they have pretty much taken everything from you. if you make it thru that you become unbreakable.
I think Bruce Lee said it best, you must learn to be like water. instead of being the stone eroding against the flow of the river you must become the rushing water that effortlessly flows around its obstacles
My elderly parents were that way for a long time. I told them those feelings of sadness, depression, hopelessness- that is exactly how satan wants you to feel in these times. The most defiant thing you can do is find things in life to smile about, and using that as your foundation, live your life to the fullest by fulfilling your purpose. That purpose is completely unique to you, and is up to you to discover it if you haven't already.
You have a finite amount of time on this earth until you disappear into eternity. If you ever feel like there is no point in doing anything, by the same logic there is no point in not doing anything. Fix your inner world, and grow out from there. You got this, my friend. :)
You are stronger than you realize. The simple solution is not an exit. We will friend stronger and learn to root out or overcome. They wouldn't have to demoralize us if they could overcome us.
1 John 4:

How about a movement called #leavethephoneathome the NWO would die quickly if we abandon smart phones. I am going to start living like 90’s and only access internet when at home soon. Maybe I’ll buy a gps for the car. Really my only reason it comes w me places.
In the absence of hope, look harder.
Hope is always there, even if we don't let ourselves see it, doesn't negate the existence.

The old remedy of "a change of air" is more effective than people give credit for.
Mostly because they couldn't sell so many pills if they did.
