The idea that an anon beat the scientific community like that is obviously going to be super appealing and people ate it up without question. Including the conspiracy community.
It’s plausible that the government did use some type of weapon against Turkey as retribution for sabotaging Sweden’s nato bid and siding with Russia.
If you were to run some type of opp that created an earthquake that killed thousands of innocent people… you would likely go to GREAT lengths to ensure that conspiratorial narratives didn’t gain hold.
