I think the cost of real love is free will and in choosing there can be betrayal.
While it is true that God is ultimately in control, He doesn't wish for there to be evil, we all could have been chilling in paradise forever instead of this pit stop, I think.

Hm, I do have a relative theory, that God created man in His Image in a way I don't understand fully in the triunity of God. And I think other created beings fooled the innocent to destroy them. I think those bad created beings have been trying to create their own images for a very long time. I think they succeeded once and I think we are seeing them try again.
