Oh that's wild... did not see that on my phone, but blown up on the laptop it comes through loud and clear.

There's a far simpler explanation: that asymmetric facial droop would indicate some kind of recent stroke.

Colonizing planets is a good sales tool because easy for regular people to envision, but actually, O'Neil cylinders are way more cost effective and a lot safer.

I've worked in rocket manufacturing long enough to know getting to the moon a handful of times isn't actually that big an accomplishment. Only having 2 serious failures is impressive compared to the automotive industry though. "Modern technology" hasn't really advanced us a ton on any useful dimension other than guidance computers being a lot less unreliable, but even that can be and was briefly done entirely by hand as long as you have enough math people to figure out the orbital maneuvers. We're seeing rocket engine designs finally discontinued this year that were literally in service on missiles before the Cold War.

We still have the tech, the government is full of parasites who stole all the money. Rockets are expensive, not actually that complicated. NASA spent the last several decades on the global warming people's leash not able to get anything productive done. There was a brief golden age when none of the parasites had figured out there was money to steal yet, then the organization started rotting fast.

It doesn't take that many "director of diversity/climate change" positions at any western institution to send us back to the stone age.

I mean, have you seen the Chinese population in China? So much starvation and so much grease and sugar. 10 lane highways have replaced bicycle. China only doesn't have an obesity and diabetes epidemic because the numbers are diluted by the throngs of people starving to death. COVID vaccines also appear to react violently in people who've had certain other diseases (shingles, SARS). Little emperors that subsist on a diet of cake and sugar drinks are everywhere.

SARS-like viruses commonly hit really hard at the beginning and then evolve towards doing less damage an spreading more easily.

Given the evidence, I find it equally likely that COVID just hit their decrepit population far harder than it's hitting our population because we may be fat, but we're way less malnourished.

No, all the leeches saw the budgets involved and immediately demanded pieces of the pie. We won't have government involved spaceflight like before unless we go back to the Trump policy of telling the eco lobby to fuck right off back to NOAA where they belong and throw out all the pronouns people.

He created a lot of Trump supporters and modern conservatives. Sad to see him fall, but not a big surprise given he's in the social studies.

The Indians aren't cheaper though. They actually get paid more, their people took over key decision making positions and are now siphoning billions to India. If they can get away with paying overseas Indians more, they will.

Microsoft did something similar, but they flat out admit it's "on the honor system" and "based on mutual trust".

The amount and complexity of cyber attacks has actually been going up. That's what happens when the Microsoft's of the world yeet all those high-skill-no-social-abilities autismos for being white, and replace them with incompetent Indians or Chinese.

This is a good opportunity to point out that the tech industry has a huge problem with Indian nationals with fabricated credentials infiltrating management and then shipping your vital national security infrastructure to teams in India, essentially handing over the keys to the kingdom a little at a time.
