something I've never heard brought up is how many Nazi soldiers died from accidental cyanide poisoning.
OSHA goes too oft too far, but very untimely deaths have provided very good reasons for the care with which cyanide is handled as a gas. holocaust "survivor" accounts of the procedures used by the Nazis almost guarantees thousands of guard/soldier deaths. the bodies of the gassed jews simply could not be handled in the manner claimed by "survivor" accounts without a double-digit percentage of ancillary deaths among those handling the bodies.
I could be wrong, but 2 other things none of the survivor accounts seem to mention are the smell/taste of bitter almonds, or the color of the gassed corpses' skin.
