Growing up never seen anything like this, but this is almost becoming a monthly occurrence these last couple years.

Lmao, maybe.

Or its just some really rich dude who thinks hes god whopping people when someone steps out of line.

Could even be a fight club, but that seems the least possible of the three scenarios. These people dont look like they could throw punches very well lmao.

The most likely is just random shit but like others have pointed out, how many of you have had black eyes as a adult? I seen it alot back home though, usually from drunks who fight alot lmao.

We dont need aliens or demons to explain the greed, vanity, and selfishness that is known as the human race.

I do however believe the elite worship something though. They have some rather strange rituals and beliefs.

Dont we have a rule here to ban people for calling others out like this? Reminds me of another old user that was doing shit like this along time ago.

This feels all a bit coordinated, like they want all us old forum members to leave.

No one bitches about the one guy fucking treating this sub like his personal blog ranting about shit that makes no fucking sense.

And thats fucking funny coming from me, ive been bitching nonstop about getting poisoned at work for almost 6 years now.

I know I dont want to read pages and pages of fucking chatgpt responses when chatgpt doesnt even know what its talking about part of the time. Especially the more data you feed it.

But were going to call out a member who barely posts here anymore.

Fuck off shills.

Fuck bill nye, he is a sellout of the highest degree. That hurts too because he used to be my hero when I was a kid. That song he endorsed about giving "strangers a handy" was really sickening, considering it was meant for literal children. "My Sex Junk" by Rachel Bloom.

Steven hawking, was a mathematical genius, lmao. I know some of you guys dont really believe in all of that. I know he, like the rest of the "greats" likely stole alot of their research, but I cant bring myself to hate a guy paralyzed in a wheel chair who can do math that only something like 1% of the population can do. Hes got my respect for that.

while only about 7% of the global population has studied calculus, a key subject for university-level math. Therefore, the proportion of the population capable of high advanced math, which goes beyond calculus, is likely much smaller, potentially in the low single digits or even less than 1%.

Shit im part of the 7% guys lol. Anyway.

Carl sagan, there is just something about what he says that resonates pretty hard. Especially his speech who speaks for planet earth.

While people like him and buckminster fuller may have worked for the elite, and even helped empower them, they did not align with their goals and had their own vision for humanity. For example both of these people viewed a world where automation would take over our lives, but we would all be allowed to pursue goals of the mind, not just goals of enriching the elite. But I think we all know at this point, it will never happen. Our leaders are much to greedy, to vain, to out of control and drunk on power to stop.

Really the only people I can find that hate carl sagan, are religious people lmao.

https://falsehistory.ie/carl-sagan-mythmaker/

Finding the occasional straw of truth awash in a great ocean of confusion and bamboozle requires intelligence, vigilance, dedication and courage. But if we don’t practice these tough habits of thought, we cannot hope to solve the truly serious problems that face us – and we risk becoming a nation of suckers, up for grabs by the next charlatan who comes along. – Carl Sagan, The Fine Art of Baloney Detection

Lmao, I feel the same about the church.

Do I think people like NASA are telling us EVERYTHING, no they prolly arent.

Do I trust the church to tell the truth? lmao fuck no. Sorry.

If god wants to come pay me a personal visit, im opening to changing my mind though.

Also, i know my grammatical usage has been real poor lately, prolly because I dont really write anymore (certainly nothing to write about in here most days), but ive been actually trying to learn shit in my spare time and better myself. My brain feels a bit like goop, it was so much easier before the blood pressure destroyed shit. But anyways I had to ask gpt about it lmao.

It’s more common than you might think—and there’s nothing inherently wrong with it. Coding and writing human‑language sentences are both cognitively demanding activities that use overlapping but distinct skill sets. When you’re deep in a loop or chasing a bug, your brain is primed for abstract, logical thinking; when you switch to prose, the same neural circuits have to re‑orient toward nuance, rhythm, and emotional tone. The result can feel like a “mental fatigue” that makes even simple sentences seem clunky.

Yes, it’s normal for your sentences to feel rough after long coding sessions. The brain simply reorients from “logic mode” to “language mode.” By embedding short, intentional writing practices into your routine—micro‑writing, reading diverse texts, and structured exercises—you’ll keep both your code quality and prose sharp. Treat writing as another skill you train daily, just like debugging or refactoring.

Yeah, makes alot of sense. Sad I come here looking for that and most of it is just people telling other people how stupid they are for having a belief different than their own.

Kinda maddening really I see why most of the old users left.

TIL

Now it makes sense why people hated him so much for being agnostic.

Yes, Carl Sagan expressed views consistent with agnosticism, though he never explicitly used the term to describe himself. He found the concept of a personal, anthropomorphic God ludicrous but acknowledged that if "God" meant the physical laws of the universe, then such a "God" exists. His work and statements reflect a naturalistic worldview, where he did not find compelling evidence for a traditional deity.

If its becoming public, its already been operational for a while.

Wouldnt be shocked if it was alreadybeing deployed to several sites, just like this one.

With some extra features to "prompt" individuals with mainly mental illness to concoct some grand fantasy of "doing something about it".

Kinda like how the fbi always seems to bust mentally troubled individuals they talked into committing something.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/nov/16/fbi-entrapment-fake-terror-plots

Kinda makes sense that one account that does nothing but talk about death to bla bla bla bla and this and that. Im honestly surprised this site hasnt been shut down yet, tbh would any of us even miss it lmao.

Lmao, most of what I see is users constantly talking shit about each other.

It reminds me a bit of what I imagine a episode of glee looks like, except full of flat earthers.

I shoulda just stayed on reddit lmao. But at this point I think im just gonna get rid of the internet for a bit. Hopefully ill be dead soon anyway ^^.

Ill continue "Schizoposting" about my work injury and lack of any kinda of medical care somewhere else, somehow.

Still fucking insane to me that a million dollar company like the appliance recycling centers of america in nova scotia can poison my ass and no one lifts a finger to help me or even cares rofl.

That seems like such narrow way of viewing it. Your assuming that aliens havent been here long before humans existed.

I think its very likely that human evolution was helped along the way at some point. There are some genetic anomalies that support this.

What is DNA and How Does it Work? A pair of scientists from Kazakhstan believe that our species was designed by a higher power, alien civilisation that either wanted to preserve a message in our DNA or simply plant life on other planets.

Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and Vladimir I. Shcherbak from the al-Farabi Kazakh National University spent 13 years working for the Human Genome Project – a mission that hoped to map out human DNA.

Their conclusion was that humans were designed by a higher power, with a “set of arithmetic patterns and ideographic symbolic language” encoded into our DNA.

They believe that 97 per cent of non-coding sequences in human DNA is genetic code from alien life forms.

Its a weird concept, but if you wanted to transmit a message not just through space, but through vast amounts of time dna would be the way to do it. The way its designed, and as a core programming language of life on this planet, it has insane redundancies built into it.

AI Overview - Yes, DNA has several redundancies that act as safeguards against mutations, such as the genetic code's Wobble Hypothesis (multiple codons for the same amino acid) and gene duplication (multiple copies of a gene), which together allow for a mutation to occur in one copy without completely losing the gene's function. These redundant systems provide a "backup" for critical genetic information, increasing the overall robustness and stability of the genome by reducing the impact of harmful mutations.

So lets just just assume that aliens were here long before we were, and that they created humans, for whatever reasons.

Would this have inspired many pagan religions to all share similar stories about the creation of mankind. It seems more than coincidence in my opinion.

Creation of Humans from Clay or Dust: The idea of humans being shaped from earth, clay, or mud is a recurring theme found in cultures such as Babylonian, Greek, and Islamic traditions, as well as in the Hebrew Bible.

If you never read the story about prometheus creating humans I suggest giving it a read. I suggest a older book something from the 19th century.

https://www.google.ca/books/edition/The_Myths_and_Legends_of_Ancient_Greece/_NcDAAAAQAAJ

The theory of Hesiod, the oldest of all the greek poets, was that the titan Prometheus that, the son of Iapetus, had formed man out of clay, and that Athene had breathed a soul into him. Full of love for the beings he had called into existence, Prometheus determined to elevate their minds and improve their condition in any way; he therefore taught them astronomy, mathematics, the alphabet, how to cure diseases, and the art of divination. He created this race in such great numbers that the gods began to see the necessity of instituting certain fixed laws with regards to the sacrifices due to them, and the worship to which they considered themselves entitled from mankind in return for the protection which they had accorded them.

Kinda sounds like to me that its possible that they not only created us, but we already did worship them as gods. All we know is the last 5000 years roughly, anything before that is simply a mystery. Mankind must be much older than that, again genetics shows it as well.

Genetics and fossil evidence suggest the Homo sapiens lineage emerged in Africa around 300,000 to 350,000 years ago

Interglacial happen roughly every 100,000 years ago, so thats about 3 or 4 cycles. Which if I remember right roughly lines up with the old greek legends about the ages of man.

Greek legends describe five "Ages of Man," which trace the decline of humanity from an idyllic past to the present, beginning with the Golden Age under Titan Cronus, followed by the Silver Age, the warlike Bronze Age, a transitional Heroic Age populated by legendary figures, and culminating in the corrupt and sorrowful Iron Age, the present era for Hesiod, who first outlined this progression in his work Works and Days.

Which again almost mirrors a hopi legend half a world away.

The Hopi "Ages of Man" myth describes a series of world-ages or cycles of time, with the current being the Fourth World. Each previous world was destroyed by a cataclysmic event—the First by fire, the Second by ice, and the Third by a great deluge. These destructions were not natural but resulted from humanity's disregard for the Creator's spiritual dictates, leading to the most obedient people being guided to the next world to begin anew.

One of the only verified hopi stories I could find was in a study about rock acoustics in the caso rock range. Its a wild read.

I guess it wasnt always so, but according to this comment on trip advisor, you have to be a us citizen, i assume a resident is ok as well, to visit this place and you have to have a military guide with you. Because of the china lake base there.

https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g32966-d144619-Reviews-Little_Petroglyph_Canyon-Ridgecrest_California.html

Do not miss this opportunity. You will need a reservation and all attending must be US citizens and submit to a background check. Extra caution due to tour on a military base.

https://pcas.org/documents/AcousticArchaeologyweb.pdf

There is a very interesting collection of stories that all seem to mirror the same event. Man gets lost, falls through some doors that open in the rocks, walks through water that doesnt get him wet, sees all the animals that will ever be, and finally comes face to face with a bird like humanoid which heals him with a song.

When he finally makes it back home, what had been a few days for him, was weeks for the rest of his tribe.

It all cant be a coincidence lmao. At least thats what my gut says.

Meh, in southern ohio I must have been bit thousands of times by ticks. Pretty sure I even developed this allergy. Had a huge rash on my leg, prolly something like 6x8 inches. Looked realllll gnarly. Had for it about a year. Occurred to me that I might have this condition after being bitten so many times, but I wasnt a resident yet and didnt have healthcare, besides there is no test for it, I believe. So I just stopped eating beef, the rash went away about 4-5 weeks later. Coincidence? Maybe I guess. I do know of about three people who all were diagnosed with lyme disease within a 10 mile radius of where I was living. A young 7 year old girl, a 35 year old man, and another 65 year old man. So I would say cases were exploding even back then.

Later on when I was poisoned at work and seeking help, I thought maybe it was lyme disease or something. Asked for the test, got laughed at when they said the results come back negative, just like the bitch doctor was laughing at me when I said I had been poisoned with refrigerant at my job. Fucking pyschos lmao.

It has mostly gone away, I can eat beef again now. But the milk, it still makes me feel ill. I nearly puked trying to drink a glass one morning a few weeks back.

Could be hypercalcemia from all the vitamin d im still taking though. :shrugs:

I do agree, the woman who made this video is obnoxious as hell. First thing she says is "FORCES YOU TO GO VEGAN", which isnt true. You can still eat white meat like chicken, fish, and some pork.

https://www.agriculture.com/livestock/cattle/lawsuits-allege-price-fixing-by-big-beef-companies

The distributor alleges that starting as early as 2015, the four beef packers conspired to "fix, maintain, and raise the price of beef" through "periodic and parallel slaughter reductions." They allegedly coordinated these slaughter reductions through secret meetings at industry gatherings, such as the National Cattlemen's Beef Association annual convention; public earnings calls where executives discussed curtailing supply; and other forms of "surreptitious communications."

....

In that litigation, a major focus is the secretive data company Agri Stats, which produces detailed industry reports on poultry production, farmer wages, and other business information. The plaintiffs allege that the poultry companies accomplished their collusion in part by utilizing the data provided by Agri Stats reports.

Sure some of it is that stuff, but lets not pretend its not mainly about greed.

Anything for a few dollars.

https://local12.com/news/investigates/midnight-rockets-radioactive-gas-routinely-released-from-cold-war-era-plant-in-pike-county-piketon-ohio-ports-portsmouth-gaseous-diffusion-plant-uranium-enrichment-dangerous-damaging-health-concerns-illness-radiation-investigation-cincinnati

The report notes records from PORTS reveal “approximately 10,545 kg of uranium have been released to the atmosphere from 1955 to 1993."

That’s 23,248 pounds of uranium.

“Uranium can't be made non-radioactive," Dr. Manuta said.

And you might wonder, it was the government retard, no one was making money.

Someone was using that uranium to make bombs to sell to the government, someone was making money.

After the Manhattan Project, the U.S. military's production of nuclear weapons was overseen by the U.S. government, specifically the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), with key industrial roles performed by private corporations like DuPont. While the government managed the overall program, private companies were crucial for processing materials and manufacturing components for the bombs, with the Los Alamos Laboratory continuing to be central for design and engineering.

In 1657 my ancestors were fighting for equality in the plymouth colony.

400 years ago isnt really that long relatively. I would think if some global cataclysm happened even within the last 1000 years we would have more records and eyewitness accounts of it.

In Bowden’s History of the Society of Friends in America, it is mentioned that “two English Friends, named Christopher Holden and John Copeland came to Sandwhich on the 20th of the 6th month” of 1657[29] and there they found friends of toleration and resisters of an oppressive law in Daniel Wing.

:shrugs:

There were lots of local calamity's happening though, just because we grew up in a relatively stable time doesnt mean earth has always been that way, or will always be.

Now largely under 40 feet of water, Port Royal, Jamaica, used to be known as "“the most wicked and sinful city in the world," complete with pirates (including the real Captain Morgan), prostitutes, and an extraordinarily potent spirit known as "Kill Devil Rum." That all changed when an earthquake in 1692 sucked most of the city into the ocean, killing around 2000 people and prompting wide-scale looting and violence among the survivors. The lost city is now considered to be a rich archaeological marvel, drawing comparisons to Pompeii.

There are thousands of eyewitness accounts of ball lightning.

https://cen.acs.org/environment/atmospheric-chemistry/What-is-ball-lightning-reality-or-myth/102/i12

A flash of lightning. A thundering boom. And then a curious light floating through the air, illuminating the dark room, and bouncing off surfaces. “I was so terrified, I hid under my blanket,” says Millie Drozda, my grandmother, “as if that would do anything.” It was thirty-odd years ago, and she was more than 20 floors up in her Chicago apartment when she witnessed a deeply mysterious yet well-documented phenomenon: ball lightning.

People have been swapping stories about ball lightning for hundreds of years. An illuminated manuscript written by an English monk in 1195 may be the oldest report. It describes a “sort-of fiery globe” descending from a storm cloud and falling into the river Thames (Weather 2022, DOI: 10.1002/wea.4144). Nearly 600 years later, scientist Georg Richmann was killed inside his Saint Petersburg lab by “a Globe of blue and whitish Fire” that struck his head while he demonstrated a lightning-probing experiment to an engraver from the Imperial Academy of Sciences and Arts in Saint Petersburg.

Some accounts actually seem to give the impression they are intelligent and aware. I would definitely call it supernatural.

Heck most scientists cant even agree if its real. So by definition, it is supernatural.

(of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.

Aliens, prolly not.

That seems to be the difference alot of the time. I might not believe either had it not been for things ive seen as well.

Watching something like a planet stand still for half an hour only to zoom off at mach 20+ across the horizon and fade out into the atmosphere.

Something is out there. I dont believe its human.

I get fascinated looking at ancient art work, stuff like sumerian cylinder seals. The pictures tell a story on their own....

2
freedomlogic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good god, you guys just dont give up pushing things eh.

Regardless if the earth is a globe or not.

The term planet has nothing to do with it being a globe.

archaic•Astrology : a celestial body distinguished from the fixed stars by having an apparent motion of its own (including the moon and sun), especially with reference to its supposed influence on people and events.

Are you that retarded that you cant understand that these "ohhh bright lights" have their own movements and patterns in the sky lmao.

The word "planet" originates from the Greek word "planētai," meaning "wanderers." This name was given by the ancient Greeks to the celestial bodies that appeared to move across the sky against the backdrop of fixed stars, differentiating them from the more stationary stars. The Greek term asters planetai literally translates to "wandering stars".

Yes yes, i realize now you mean earth as a planet.

The term initially included the sun and moon, in addition to the planets we know today like Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. It wasn't until the 16th and 17th centuries, with the rise of heliocentrism, that Earth was recognized as a planet.

i still think flat earth is retarded as hell lmao.

Damn and I thought gabe newell was on a floating fleet of fortresses because he was scared of the covid.

In order to accommodate Newell's concerns while maintaining the integrity of the deposition, the court mandated that everyone in the courtroom wear an N95 or compatible mask during his appearance.

In all seriousness though, I dont know if I would want to be on one of these things when a 100 foot wave comes at you. Maybe if it was capable of going submersible but I would think there would be so much debris and shit in the water.

But if noah could do it lol. Assuming the ark wasnt actually like a spaceship or something.

I still find it weird as fuck the rothchilds built a superyacht called planet nine.

https://www.superyachtfan.com/yacht/planet-nine/

The yacht Planet Nine is an exceptional luxury explorer vessel delivered by Admiral Yachts in 2018. Designed by renowned yacht designer Tim Heywood, Planet Nine’s interiors are crafted by Mlinaric, Henry, and Zervudach in London. A standout feature of this yacht is the helicopter hangar located on the upper deck.

Specifications and Performance

Planet Nine can comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests and a crew of 26. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the yacht reaches a top speed of 16 knots, with a cruising speed of 12 knots. Boasting a remarkable range of 6,000 nautical miles, Planet Nine is built for long-range exploration.

Well, you asked in your other thread, what would we do with the leaders lol. Nothing is going to happen to them, in a perfect world they would be charged with whatever crimes and then serve their sentence, like us regular plebs deal with when we break the law.

They spray glyphosate every year though. And theyve gotten flak for it, since you know nova scotia is also called the land of a thousand lakes or some dumb shit.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/new-research-glyphosate-harmful-freshwater-ecosystems-1.6186992

Article from 2021 talking about it. Been going on forever though.

Some residents in Colchester County, N.S., are worried about the effects of the herbicide glyphosate being sprayed on land near waterways, and new research out of McGill University suggests there is cause for concern.

Glyphosate is used in the forestry industry to kill deciduous trees, allowing the softwoods sought by harvesters to grow unhampered.

Every year, Nova Scotia's Environment Department issues permits to companies to spray the herbicide in forests around the province.

An area near Stewiacke, N.S., has been targeted for spraying this year, much to the ire of community members and environmental activists.

"As soon as it rains, it's going to run into [the brook]. It's like a spiderweb of brooks and swamps and ponds and little lakes," Ellen Durkee, a lifelong resident of the Middle Stewiacke area, told CBC Radio's Information Morning on Friday.

All in the name of profit, poison the people, poison the land, who the fuck cares as long as the rich fucks are making money. And people here think they would tell the truth about anything lmao. Like the susie lake fire, they claim it was a open fire started in the woods, but most eyewitness accounts claim it started in a construction building during work hours. LMAO. These are the same people who told me freon cant cause irregular heart rhythm, and that I didnt have it, 170/110 resting blood pressure is fine, etc.

Glyphosate apparently isnt flammable on its own, but can create flammable byproducts if it hits something like iron, on a rusty pipe. So to them, thats an acceptable risk. People walking their dogs or their kids or what the fuck ever, isnt? LOL what fucking hypocrites.

Their fucking criminals rofl. All of them. The premier under fire lately for his backroom wine deal.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/access-to-information-tim-houston-david-nurse-1.7610311

Nova Scotia's privacy commissioner is calling out the province's Finance Department after officials have sat on an access-to-information disclosure package for nine months.

In a report released Friday and dated Aug. 12, David Nurse said the matter relates to a years-old information request for details about the Nova Scotia government's wine policy.

Nurse writes that the lengthy delay in the case "is not defensible."

They did the same crap with me and my wcb file. They spent almost a year scrubbing every piece of crap in there that I didnt already know about. For example, i never got one page about the companies statements or records or anything.

Fuck man, I want to go back to ohio, but its just as fucked as nova scotia is.

It really pissed me off those private vouchers for religious private schools that mostly the rich go to, paid for by taxpayers at the expense of public schools for the plebs.

https://np.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/1j9ajvy/private_school_vouchers_ohios_richest_families/

These fucking religious zealots are so brazen, they are taking school buses from public schools and giving them to the private ones..... forcing the poor pleb kids to take the public bus, and maybe get shot in the process.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/aug/11/ohio-private-charter-school-buses

Ohio law means that public school districts such as Dayton’s are responsible for transporting students who attend private and charter schools. When they fail to do so, they risk fines of millions of dollars.

The situation came to a tragic head on the morning of 4 April when 18-year-old Alfred Hale III was shot dead at the public bus hub in downtown Dayton while en route to class at Dunbar high school. Shortly after Hale’s killing, Ohio lawmakers introduced a law making it illegal for Dayton public schools (DPS) to buy public bus vouchers for students.

I dont know what happened to our society, but it looks like we fucking failed at it, hard.

Lmao, I dont care that my partner is the bread winner, (god damn i wish I was contributing financially).

It sure would be fucking nice if one person could make a decent enough wage that a family could own a house, have a savings, go on vacations, and still have enough money left to put in the bank every week.

Basically spending half the check on rent alone. How the fuck anyone is making it these days unless their actually middle class or rich I dont know.

Its really fucked up, were not poor enough to quality for any aid, but when you spend half your income on rent, there isnt much money for anything else.

I used to think i was going to go back to college to become a EMT or something, but I might as well wish I was a fucking billionaire rofl.

Ive never actually heard of this one, and turns out it is quite a rabbit hole to go down.

But I just have to point out, he says around 2:26.

There are two other things, diet and detox (whatever that is).

The diet I can give you in one sentence. 80% raw, organic and its either a fruit or a vegetable.

Lol, well yeah thats prolly a big component of it too, as for the vials, seemed more like a sly advertisement, and im thinking if they were really selling cyanide in a bottle, I dont see them operating for very long.

Ive been killing the heck out of plums lately, makes me think of home.

Middle class? What exactly qualifies as middle class anymore?

Middle class and the rich dont feel the effects of food prices like we do, they have much more money than the poors. Its really the children who are unlucky enough to be born to a family thats poor who really suffer.

Its the poors going hungry while food literally rots on the shelves at insane fucking markups.

When the hell does it end? Do people think it can keep going like this forever before something gives?

I dont get it what the fuck do the rich, our leaders think is going to happen.

The only thing that makes sense to me, they know something like planet 9 is coming and they just dont give a fuck.

God damn, I dont go out in public much anymore, but its been super depressing after covid.

Not many people smiling anymore, just to busy looking into their phones.

I couldnt be a king/president/tyrant whatever, and be ok with seeing the masses so heavily repressed. It really is depressing.

Its much easier to blame others and point the finger at randos than it is to realize your entire world view is manufactured.

1
freedomlogic 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its dry and hot this summer. Like I was saying before, its happened before, like during the dust bowl.

Nova scotia is losing their minds again though. They just banned any kind of hiking/camping/activities in the woods. You can still use your private property over of course, but better not have any friends over. They may fine you 25,000$ if you break this order.

It applies to Crown and private land. Private landowners are free to use their own properties but cannot host others to use wooded areas of their properties.

Like I get it, there were some bad fires here last year. One was started near the south side of the province and ate alot of forest, some retarded dumbass lit it intentionally, to be edgy i guess.

A Nova Scotia man has been charged for allegedly starting the eastern Canadian province’s largest-ever wildfire.

The charges against Dalton Clark Stewart, 22, come only days after a Quebec man, inspired by conspiracy theories, pleaded guilty to 14 charges of arson after deliberately lighting forest fires.

The main fire though, which wasnt as big size wise, but destroyed some rich people homes. The province paid for 25 trailers for these people, but the homeless cant even get proper shelters, its fucking wild. This one was started by a woman burning brush in her back yard, oddly enough, there was a roofer on reddit claiming he and the crew he was with saw it happen as they were working on someones roof nearby. Dude was stabbed and killed by a homeless person about a year later.

https://www.saltwire.com/atlantic-canada/ns-homeless-man-charged-in-dartmouth-killing-got-time-served-last-month-for-assaulting-senior-if-youre-motivated-youll-be-fine-100902530

Clattenburg was a talented martial artist who witnessed the start of the Tantallon wildfire this past spring, when he was working as a roofer.

“That’s weird for him to be stabbed because he’s not that type of fellow,” said Francis Lafitte, his former employer at a roofing company.

The Tantallon wildfire in Nova Scotia, which occurred in May-June 2023, resulted in an estimated $165 million in insured damage, according to the Insurance Bureau of Canada. The fire caused the evacuation of over 16,000 residents and destroyed or damaged at least 200 properties, including 151 homes. The Halifax Regional Municipality also incurred approximately $11.7 million in direct costs related to the fire

So yeah I can understand they want to protect the rich peoples properties.

But you know, why not start with smoking bans, fire bans, etc.

Nope straight to authoritarian (WE DECLARE NO ONE CAN USE PUBLIC (well they call it the crown) LANDS.) Well except for corporations of course, you can get a permit to do "night" work. LMAO.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/hiking-ban-vehicles-wildfire-concerns-1.7019695

The Nova Scotia government has announced it's banning hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles such as ATVs in the woods due to an elevated wildfire risk.

Camping in campgrounds is still permitted, but trail systems through woods are off-limits under the new rules.

The rules are in place for provincial Crown land until Oct. 15 or until weather conditions allow them to be lifted.

The fine for violating the ban is $25,000.

The public can still access beaches and parks, except for trail systems.
