What convinced me we didnt go is the problem of heat.

Heat needs to be transferred to something. On earth an air conditioner takes the heat from the air inside, moves it outside and transfers it to the air. Newtons laws of thermal dynamics etc. (there is no such thing as "cold". It is a relative term to heat)

The sun sends radiation to the spacemen which is absorbed as heat. There is no way to get rid of the heat efficiently. They are in space, no air to dissipate heat into. They are like a vacuum coffee cup.
