I substituted at several high schools. We got to choose what age group and subject to fill in while the teacher was away. This was by far my favorite class to substitute.
Them: Sub teacher B, what would you like us to do?
Me: Practice your instrument! Get at it!
Some practiced in their groups, some alone, some not at all. They were all respectful.
