I’m pretty well convinced of a literal race of literal giants. Maybe try to have her recall the events leading up - where/when did she realize the delivery was coming, when did she get the the hospital, did she wait a long time before delivery or not - as I understand it, basically every mom in delivery gets pumped up with drugs like pain killers and muscle relaxants (not to mention the insane flood of endogenous chemicals and emotional effects!), so no one can fault them for not having perfect recall! That’s one reason why telling our stories is so important!
