Realizing and making peace with culture death is a tricky one- but culture is only dead where you find screens (which is a tad unfortunate since they're damn near everywhere). Culture had been chipped away with the dawn of the TV, and it's only accelerated exponentially with the dawn of the smart phone. People staring at the rest of the world through a screen, waiting for something to happen rather than interacting with the world around them is how culture died. Culture grinds to a halt and rots when everyone is a bystander.
I recommend joining group activities that necessitate not having screens out. Paddle boarding, hiking (even though plenty of assholes are still taking pictures), martial arts, yoga... You'll find there are still interesting people with a sense of culture doing activities that discourage being glued to their phones. If you continue to search for culture on the internet, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed for reasons you already nailed.
Tbh, I think I only visit this place out of habit at this point. I guess it's nice reassurance that there are others out there who see the existential fuckery for what it is, but ultimately you're right- these places are controlled and nothing is organic anyway.
