There might be a small misconception here. A PC's power supply is indeed a switcher. However, it is very common to ensure uninterrupted voltage to the input of the switcher, by means of a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) that provides AC line power, and sustained by a battery in the UPS. Generally UPSs filter out any incoming line voltage glitches long before their internal DC to AC generators see it. A good quality UPS puts out a sine wave, lesser quality ones output stepped AC voltages. Some PC power supplies do not handle stepped AC in super well.
In my experience, most sociopaths rely on using insults to rattle their opponents. The secret in dealing with them is always just let it bounce off with no effect. Insulting them back has no real effect since they don't let it reach their core, which is psycho anyway.

And if you use the stock up quickly, there is no need to can it - they come in weekly deliveries, in season anyway. You put the tomatoes in the refrigerator for a couple days until you use them up. In winter, okay, maybe you need canned tomatoes, as fresh supplies are reduced. But if you're in the pizza restaurant business you don't waste your time and profits on canning tomatoes. So he was lying.

I look at their eyes and the expressions in their eyes. Somehow, one can tell whether someone is hiding something, and when someone lacks empathy, is being phony. To me there is a difference between an honest smile and a phony look. Hillary Clinton always looks phony to me. The sociopath wears a mask, but often one can see beyond the mask. I dunno, it took me many years to finally be able to read people but now I can tell soon after meeting someone whether they are real or a phony or faking it. Many liars have a certain phoniness to them, and crazy people too have a visual odor of sorts that shows they are faking it. There are looks of sincerity and looks of insincerity one can learn to read. It's not always 100% perfect but a lot of the time one can spot it.
My learning was over the years, in business. Over time I ran into enough sociopaths that finally I get alarm bells upon meeting one. It is not always just the looks but some of the behavior. You get to detect liars and insincerity, and when that is paired with certain looks on their faces, it adds up.
With women, over time too I learned to sense bad ones some of the time. You can detect an insincerity in them and that has saved me a lot of possible unhappy relationships.
People will really regret not having gardens, when they are starving. Now, that is homeowners in the suburbs of course, who have land. Urban dwellers will be SOL. You can see that the government herding people into cities and making them dependent on govt handouts always had a purpose, an end goal. Dependency leads to control. Once gasoline gets cut off, cars to a halt; once electricity gets turned off, EVs are up the creek.

The thing is, ALL switchers are built to only handle a few milliseconds of stored energy and they MUST be fed sustained power or they simply stop output once the temporarily stored energy is drained from their inductors or capacitors. No switcher will continue to put out power a few milliseconds after input power stops. Thus any switcher needs to have either a UPS input or a very stable AC line, and this means all PCs have to have a UPS or be able to tolerate interrupted power, which is not easy as that glitches CPUs.
