Your PC Might Soon Demand Proof of Age Before Letting You Browse. Here's What to Know
Age verification started with porn and social media. Now, governments are passing laws requiring operating systems to collect your age before you can use your computer at all.
Take this time to stop your doom-scrolling and begin to amassing a digital library for offline use.
Focus on material that will not be available in the future years (i.e. the Jewish Question)
It will not matter when you are being sent to a labor camp in the Cameroon by cargo plane alongside a couple hundred others.
It might help in the big collapse, but it will not in the aftermath.
Whatever happens next, it will NEVER end.
lol, they won’t keep us alive. That’s just silly.
I've been amassing a digital library for years now. Pretty much since the 2020 fiasco happened, with Covid and the fake election, I have been downloading thousands and thousands of books under the assumption that they will one day disappear. Mostly science, math, engineering, history (with a focus on revisionist history particularly WWII as that will likely get banned), sociopolitical writings (especially the far right as that will likely get banned).
But really I am amassing everything I can.
And it's just one state-wide Digital ID and one civil unrest in the right place and the right time away.
Technology Complexity Collapse
e.g. adding more Technology just makes things worse.
See also: Mythical Man Month (adding more people makes problem solving take longer)
The mythical man month is due to managerial overhead. And also the fact that not all people are equal, so after assigning your best people to something, further assignment of your not so good people does not shorten the time proportionally because they do not add to the capabilities proportionally.
With AI, I think there will be a new one. Using technology to solve things is going to cost an enormous amount of compute and especially energy. The more AI is used, the more these bills go up. Unlike traditional computing, the outputs are not predictable. Using computers to run the banking system results in all arithmetic being done correctly every time. Using AI results in unpredictable hallucinations, and adding more data centers increases costs without eliminating the hallucinations.
Technology has become a human time consumer ---- it takes longer to do the same thing.

Every 'technological improvement' beyond that takes me more time and is more prone to failure.
Look at the old car radios ---- push button, get station
Every 'technological improvement' beyond that takes me more time and is more prone to failure.
looking forward to it
A kid can wander off to a bad part of town. I do not want government controlling this. This is the parent's job.
I'M GOOD REQUIRING AGE FOR PORN SITE, FOR YOUR OS IS BULLSHIT, JEWISH SURVEILLANCE STATE
They can try to force vendors to do this, but they can never enforce it for everyone. Open source exists. Even if they try to shut down the various distros (this will be incredibly unpopular if they go this route), source code exists and compilers exist. People can just install their own OS.
