I got very excited by the long discussion with Magnora 7, signed up, and put up a rewrite of my "roswell salem witch trials" post. After two days, neither upvotes nor downvotes, and only two brief comments: one an incredibly low-effort troll post and the other some bot-generated non-sequitur.
So it's not "Dead Internet" (which is just more false dialectic bullshit) but it's far closer than I ever imagined.
