I read half of those FOR school, not that long ago. So they mandated reading it and then later banned it… 🤔 Sounds about right.
Good thing I realized very early you can obtain books outside of school. I'd even bring them to school and read then when I finished class work. (Teachers loved it!) But I get the point and I'm just forming solutions.
Free speech and all. An education degree is all the libs could get, so there they are.

A lot of high schools have dropped Shakespeare from their curriculum.
They had us read some Shakespeare in high school and I don't think they are missing much.
