You're right in today's America saying "Government wants to ban this ...", might as well say "Jews or Israel wants to ban this ...". Same thing. There is no US of America any more, their institutions, and more importantly their government have been captured.
Looks to me to be a great Urban Renewal project to be funded by the American tax payer. The Israelis and Palestinians should not be crying because in a year or two our government will be plopping down plane loads of cash to rebuild those apartments. Win/win for both sides.

You don't know the history of it. Israel is the aggressor and they've killed millions local people. Palestinians lived in that land peacefully until the Brits and the zionists (Balfour and Rothschild) decided to establish the illegitimate state of Israel there and started importing jewish settlers. That land was part of the Ottoman empire and there were very few jews living there.
