That's not the argument and people wouldn't make a claim on a piece of land because they lived there 2000 years ago. The argument is Israel was astro-turfed on that land in the 20th century. Zionists were pushing for its establishment and were considering a couple of options like Palestine and South America. I can also get into Biblical refutation why the jews don't have a claim on the land if you'd like.
Imagine you live in a land for generations and suddenly you get invaded and replaced by hostile settlers who occupy your territory and enforce a martial law. All that just because the big geopolitical players decided it's the right thing to do and you have no say in this. Europeans are getting a taste of that with the immigration and cultural enrichment policies enacted.
What? How do you compare post WWII world of UN to the middle ages where no international law was present and any land was up for grasps? If it's legitimate for Israel to do that in our modern age, I imagine you have no problem with Russia invading Ukraine and taking back their territory, right?
They probably had written documents about it. Roman historians were no slouches. If they weren't sure of His existence they'd say it's hearsay.
I didn't hear your take on Russia/Ukraine. If you claim invasions and wars are justified today you should have zero problems with Russia making their move. The line isn't arbitrary - I pointed a very specific time when international law became a thing and that's not just my take but the consensus in history. Namely after WWII with the Nuremberg trials and the UN treaty.
That's a strawman. I don't want them to pay for any crimes and I don't consider historic conquest a crime - I'm just stating the facts. Jews aren't entitled to a piece of land or their own state - they've lost it and were astroturfed in Palestine by the Anglo-American zionist elite just because they were there 2000 years ago. I don't think that's justified.
