Twerking is a hidden pass / fail IQ test.
But the 'dance' in this video isn't particularly good. It's coordinated marching. There's no grace. Fred and Ginger would show these soybeans up.
They look as though they are mimicking music box figurines. Most likely originally requested or orchestrated by a king or monarch.
That ain't dancing, that's walking around in circles. Now Polka, that's dancing.

That dancing is often much harder. It uses real music, real instruments, and needs big spaces, and function and formality.
Ultimately the music changed.
People are still dancing traditional dances, otherwise, you would not be able to link to this video.
