It's designed to convince half the population they are being "represented" with these fox news narrative stories they are told are the issues. Yet republican propaganda is mostly "these are the bad things happening to you but vote for us and we will pretend to fight against these bad things."
Whereas the democrat party narrative is "we love and care about people and the planet and those mean republicans prevent us from growing the government to address the world's problems" it's a more feely feely message such as communism because "healthcare is a human right"

Don't idolize these people. When they say things that are good, congratulate them. When they say things that are bad, criticize them. No one is all good or all bad.
