Anything to get the populace worked up for war. It was probably something we put up there, said it was them, made a big show about it. Not the first time a government faked an incident to gain support for war. It could have even been a joint operation with Canada; they put it up there for us to "find", and theb blame it on China.

Spy balloons that fly at high altitude cannot simply be shot down. They can reach altitudes of up to 50 km. No plane can get there, no satellite can shoot them from above.
So this thing is not what they claim it to be. It is most likely a test run for initiating an EMP attack on the grid. They got caught red-handed and are now playing the "China" card.
It's definitely BS, but a ballistic missile could shoot one down.

For a rocket there simply is not enough air to create thrust against at such a high altitude. Only balloons can reach 50km or above. They had to wait for it to come lower before they where able to shot it down.

Because Musk didn't invent something for defusing the balloons, or capturing them. Either need to capture the Balloon, incase it has the nerve Gas in it. Because if you pop the Balloon it releases the nerve gas. If your craft is detected trying to capture Balloon it releases the nerve gas. Have to be very careful and give balloon what it wants, drift everywhere. Or you have to use the correct missile and incinerate the nerve gas.

But a dangerous balloon from China and the US military does nothing? Staged misdirection. The aim is clearly hostility towards China, spy balloon is never a good news, and even China admits to it. Clearly, they are working together on this. But on what is the question.
It is absurd, however, to fall into the panic from a balloon. Think rationally. They are also reporting that the balloon can use EMP to shut off local grid. When the WEF fuhrer was talking about cyber attack, now they implant the "enemy" of this cyber attack. And still remember - China admits it.

If space was what they claimed it is, any aliens coming here from another star system would view humans as a roach infestation and wipe us out in short order. Any sign that we somehow fight back and hold our own will just be evidence that the whole thing is staged.
