But the SUN does not start out as small and grow in size, the SUN starts out as the same size it is when it is fully risen above the horizon.. Sun not fading into view, Sun not growing into view .. Sun appears to be rising into VIEW.. Does not grow in size nor does it fade in.. SUN RISES INTO VIEW over what appears to be a CURVED surface
What you have to remember is that the sun is about 3000-4000 miles above us. If you was watching a sun that was at ground level, alongside you, then it should shrink and grow as it moves towards you, or away from you. But since it is so far away from us, it has already shrunk in size, and we will hardly notice much of the size change as the sun moves toward the horizon.

I’m not sure i am following you. We do see the moon/sun/boat/distant object appearing to rise out (“shifting into view”) of the horizon line as it approaches us (and vice versa).

The horizon line is distinct/separate from the density gradient that causes the light from the distant objects to curve convexly towards the surface. The light from the boat curves enough to appear to sink, at that 3-7 (approx) mile limit.

There is no mind trickery, We're on a curved surface roughly 8,000 miles in diameter orbiting a SUN that is roughly 850,000 miles in diameter at roughly 90-93 million miles away with a 24 hr day and night cycle orbital spin .. not tidally locked to the Sun like our Moon is to EARTH in the same way the majority of moons are to their planet in the known solar system.
Why dont buildings and landscapes tilt backwards toward the 3 mile horizon line?

On a flat Earth perspective the SUN/Moonrise will show a smaller SUN or MOON that grows .. or FADE Into view like you tried to pull off early in this debate.. You're now changing your argument to 'You need to see videos on perspective You've been schooled' Nope The Bottom half @56 seconds is obscured by the horizon. Flat Earth Model cannot explain unless the surface is curved.
If you can't see the fade from sea level it means the surface is curved.. There is no other explanation. It's curved surface! I picked this simple example because there is no way around FLAT EARTH hypothesis on this unless the Flat Earth is curved.. You can't win here.. There is no way out of this
Again, The Sun does not fade in, it RISES into the picture because the surface is curved. You can;t handle it so bad you have to change the subject to something else.. NOPE.. not even wasting my time on something else. This is why I picked SUN rising above the water. You can't win
