In a place with temperate weather and food basically just laying around, traits such as low impulse control, high melanin levels, brutality, and unfettered promiscuity/rape can actually be evolutionarily “superior”. In a place with brutal winters you need pale skin to absorb more vitamin d, long term planning, community cooperation, a propensity for delaying gratification and more if you want to be able to successfully reproduce.
