The bolded verse is essentially a prophecy that a descendent of the woman (Eve) will bring about the downfall of the serpent (Satan) and his followers. There will be casualties on both sides (bruising) and it’s most definitely happening in real time. The descendants eventually prevail but no one knows when.

exmo here. I know what you mean with regards to retarded interpretations lol.

KJV can be a bit confusing as even though it’s English it still can have different understandings of how we use words. Which is why it may be good to refer to other translations as well. Other version translate as ‘you shall bruise his heel, but he will crush your head.” Meaning that the serpents attempt to defeat will cause some injury such as a bruised heel, but that same injury will be caused by his head being crushed fatally. Ultimately the serpent has already been defeated in Christ. For us constrained by time, it is yet to fully play out.

Other interpretations can also refer to specifically ‘The seeds’. Meaning the seed of the woman is ‘Christ’, and the seed of the serpent refers specifically to a literal offspring of the serpent. Much like the watchers (fallen angels) lay with women and had children called nephilim (men of great renown refer genesis 6, book of Enoch etc) which corrupted creation and bought about the great flood , same at the end of this age. The offspring arrives and tries to lead all away from God, and corrupt his creation again.

I’s a pretty deep and interesting subject..

IMO, when you see the deepstate starting to disclose UFO information, and you've got the likes of Podesta and Clinton running UFO documentaries like 'phenomenon', you can see the narrative that is going to form over the next decade and the direction the offspring may arise from.

could be something along the lines of: 'Benevolent powerful alien race return, acknowledged as our creators, Hybrid Leader to unify (much like genesis 6) peoples. abolishes all religion, offers the secrets to immortality (and the mark along with it), but the Liar always lies and "people will seek death and will not find it. They will long to die, but death will flee from them." Rev 9:6

Diving into this whole other side of biblical study (but it also moves into other religions, both east and west, mythology, alternate history etc is super interesting and a good deep dive.

"They will long to die, but death will flee from them." I am suspicious this may be something to do with transhumanism. Normally you get old and die but what if something blocks that and/or you get downloaded into an electronic existence and can't die or evolve? If you get stuck on the blockchain or some such, maybe it becomes impossible to die.

I agree, if you follow certain antediluvian commentaries, it seems genetic corruption (the effects of 'angels' mixing with humans) during the Noahic period led to an absolute corruption of man. We openly know that WEF's aim is transhumanism and that the elite commit horrendous acts to attempt to prolong life, showing how far they are willing to corrupt themselves to achieve this goal...If someone turned up and offered an imitation of eternal life how many will take it? and as the verse says "As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."

"If someone turned up and offered an imitation of eternal life how many will take it? " Yes, I think a lot would, especially if they market it as taking away pain, anxiety, ill health, etc too. Maybe they will say they could control brain neurotransmitters to prevent depression, etc, in fact they've already started in with that one. I remember when i was a kid, the tv told me to strive for certain things to be happy but then when I got those things, there were always more things it told me I'd need. Happiness was a carrot on a stick and i was running on a treadmill but finally I realized their route does not lead where they claim it does, in fact it mostly leads the opposite way. And having wandered so far in the wrong direction, it's slow and painful to find my way back. But many have not even realized that subterfuge yet and I fear for them. If they are promised a magic fixit solution, many will likely go for it despite this reality's track record of failures in that department.

Archons, under the command of Belial/yabadoloth who are losing their grip on the grid they created. We struggle not against flesh and blood... I think we are inhabiting an artificial simulation built ontop of the world that the true Highfather built. Where and when the simulation was created can only be a guess at this point, i’m looking into these theories about the 800-1000 year gap. i.e. How j658 became 1658. Christ (not just messiah for a few, but for all) came into this world to break us out.

I came into this knowledge very young watching movies like the 13th floor and Dark City... like age 12 or so. The Matrix in 1999, of course as well. But it wasn’t until i discovered Carl Jung’s work and subsequently, the Essenes more recently that I realized that I was a vessel for some sort of esoteric knowledge, “chosen” if you will. I’ve always had a great bullshit detector and tested my sunday school teacher with questions, I would also often know more than my teacher in class.

Constant mind-blowing “this can’t be real” synchronicities, dreams of alien abduction, It’s very scary until you overcome the fear of it.

If the spirit in you guides you to do so zap, check out the dead sea scrolls, nag hammadi, and the gospel of Judas. There’s also some good content on youtube summarizing all this, of course.

If you are interesting in a podcast that talks a lot about this type of subject. I recommend blurry creatures. They confront a lot of these issues that Christianity isn’t willing to confront and explores the perspectives of people like Tim Alberino, Michael heiser, Judd burton etc. and explores the historical accounts of the Elohim, fallen angels/watchers, the potential alien connection as well as cryptids and other interesting topics. Other interesting perspectives if you haven’t already looked into them are those of graham Hancock and Randall Carlson, both having done many super interesting podcasts with joe Rogan.

The snake is Satan, as per this passage from Revelation: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan.

The "new Eve" was Mary. Mary gave birth to Jesus, whose death on the cross redeemed the original sin of Eve. Mary crushed the serpent in doing so. Mary is often depicted stepping on a snake.

I've always read it to mean that Christ would defeat Satan (serpent). If though we was beaten and killed (bruised) he rose again and with him carrie the keys to the gates of Hell (defeated). The other interpretations about modern times are also interesting. This battle is still unfolding as Jesus alluded and John prophesied.

Here is the ESV version:

"8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”

12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”

The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring[a] and hers; he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Here's an interpretation I bet you didn't see coming: the story of the Garden of Eden Incident is basically true, but is about 50,000 years old and was poorly understood at the time. Thus, it has become a bit distorted and somewhat metaphorical. "God" and the "serpent" in the story are actually aliens, and the story involves a couple of humans gaining consciousness.

Of course, all that sounds like a lot of malarkey, but I'll give you a couple of points to research to indicate the story is not just some fairy tale someone made up one day.

First, do you know where the name "Eden" comes from? In Sumerian, "e" means "house, home, or temple", and "din" means "pure or bright". When referring to a person, "din" is often translated as "righteous". The Sumerians called their deities "dingir". So "e-din" would be "the home of the righteous" or even "the home of the gods".

Second, were you aware there were two stages of "modern humans"? There were "anatomically modern humans" that, with a shave and a haircut and a 3-piece suit would pass unnoticed on the subway. They were around for 200,000 years but they acted basically just like animals (no culture, monkey-level tools, etc.). Then suddenly and for no apparent reason about 50,000 years ago, they became "behaviorally modern". They started developing very quickly with all kinds of tools and tech. Quite curious, no?

The point is, IMHO there's quite a bit to understand clearly about the story until you get to some of the finer points.

That is a diff can of worms, maybe we are not being told the truth about the early modern humans? However I have long been confused why eating of the fruit of knowledge would be a bad thing, so we were supposed to be dumb? Also kids learn about the concept of nakedness from their parent as the grow, it seems to be cultural on the one hand, but then on the flip side, it's nearly universal in one form or another so that's a bit weird too. You can see in some tribes where it's very hot, they wear close to nothing and nakedness is not as big a deal but that seems to be the exception to the rule.

As I mentioned, I believe the story is 50K years old, so we we must be as precise as possible when reading it if we hope to extract what actually happened so very long ago.

Note that they didn't eat the fruit of the "tree of knowledge" (as in facts and figures or what have you), they ate of the fruit of the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil". Big difference, yes?

And what is "the knowledge of good and evil"? Well, a clue is that animals and children under a certain age are not generally expected to know the difference between good and evil. Only older children and adults are held responsible for knowing the difference and acting accordingly. So what do they have that animals and small children do not?

As you bring up, the other clue is nakedness. But is that precisely the issue? The story is probably slightly metaphorical or distorted here. Is this a way of saying that Adam and Eve first felt shame or guilt, where they did not before? Can one feel shame or guilt without a moral sense?

Also important in deciphering this event is that God expressed apprehension that, "their eyes will be opened and they will become as the gods". What happens right before you first open your eyes in the morning?

A couple of final but crucial points, virtually always missed. God never says knowledge (of anything) is bad. Rather, he forbids them to eat the fruit and tells them they will die if they do so. Do they die? And does the nachash tempt Eve, or does he simply tell her that she will not die? Was that a lie?

As I hope you can see, the story is nearly universally misread, and I would point to that as the reason for so much controversy and misunderstanding.

Ok still confused, why would it be bad to have a moral sense? Were we meant to be amoral? Is it bad that our eyes would be opened? If this is God, would he not know that the serpent would tempt us and that we'd eat? Was this a trap for us to screw up? And if they didn't die, then he was lying, if they did die, then how did they procreate? I mean this could be explained by more spiritual new age teachings but it does not make sense the way bible priests are currently trying to explain it.

I'll say this straight out: what I've been able to decipher about this incident differs from any conventional teaching in any church in the land. So how do I personally come to grips with that? Well, if there's anything I take as an article of faith, it's that God wants us to know the truth. I think I've found it, and to reject it is to reject God. But everyone's different, right? So if you want to proceed....

You may be ready for a very troublesome truth about the Bible, which would alter the context of many of the questions you ask (which are all very good, btw). The word translated as "God" in the Old Testament is "elohim".

You can research this word yourself, and I did and you should, but in short there's a huge problem with it. The "-im" suffix in Hebrew indicates plural. That is, it can't possibly be "God" but is at best "gods". At this point I should interject that even "gods" is not a good translation. Just leave "elohim" as "elohim" until you get a handle on exactly who these Elohim were. (I use biblehub.com and on certain screens if you hover over a word it shows you the original language.)

Conventional Biblical scholars wave their hands around and come up with all manner of rationalizations but I don't buy any of it for a second. If you're into conspiracy, then maybe you would agree with me (and others) that this is a deliberate mistranslation, propagated across many centuries.

I've given you a lot to take in, but I have found that almost all people reject the truth because they are uncomfortable with its implications, they find it too disturbing to their worldview. That's their right and is yours as well. I'll tell you anything you want to know, but you have to decide whether you really want to know it.

HMU when and if you're ready for more. Good luck!

We aren't being told the truth about early/ancient humanity, and we have been delivered evolution as the answer. Religion is largely incomplete, with many books and documents left out of the bible and other ancient texts that may have offered more perspective (from a biblical standpoint - book of enoch, jasher, giants etc). We cannot take the Eden story at it's face value as written in the bible. But we can take it as a outline with lots of clues to be investigated. When we can overcome dogma we can gain a whole new understanding... this verse must never be underestimated " “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you."

Symbolically "the woman" is the church. The "seed of the serpent" refers to the children of the fallen angels, the giants. David killed Goliath (one of the last of the giants) by striking him in the forehead with a stone thrown from a sling.

Mary is the new Eve. Jesus is the new Adam.

The seed of the woman refers to a future Eve/Mary giving birth to Jesus... who will crush the snake.
