I am one of the few (30%?) who has an ongoing inner dialogue. I only recently found this out when a study was shared online about how over half of people have no monologue going on inside their own conscious. I do not usually say monologue because there's not just one, but multiple voices in my head arguing every choice and decision. Perhaps one voice is my ego and another voice is the proverbial angel on my shoulder and there's probably another voice more representative of a devil telling me to do whatever i can get away with and there's another voice that is a constant skeptic or distrustful defense mechanism.
I am capable of having internal dialogue without ignoring external perceivable sound/inspiration.
