It wasn't satire; they were calling out a bitter irony. I also believe that poverty and hunger are deliberately perpetuated because they create situations where rich and powerful people benefit as a result.
Interesting take. We'll soon see what happens to the price of meat compared to alternatives.
I'm trying to enlighten myself and help others along the way. I think that's what forums are for. To that end, when I see such egregious misinterpretations, I'm compelled to point them out.

Your title says that the United Nations wants world hunger because this article admits it.

I'll bet Amazon and Wal-Mart, Target and all the other big retailers won't be directly affected by this. Smaller businesses, however, won't be able to compete. I'm seeing a pattern here. The transfer of wealth to billionaires just won't stop, and the government is trying to make it happen.
