It ls literally firing missiles from fighter jets into neighborhoods because of a single shooting. Look at how many Palestinians--children included--get shot by the Israel Defense Forces.

The only reason a deadly variant would be transmitted rather than die along with the first carrier is if that carrier were able to transmit it before dying of it. Even if a few people managed to catch it and die, R would be less than 1 so it would fade away and be no more.
