To answer your question, I do believe there should be some sense of proportion. This is not a case of using overwhelming force during wartime. It ls literally firing missiles from fighter jets into neighborhoods because of a single shooting. Look at how many Palestinians--children included--get shot by the Israel Defense Forces.
Note that this is not an endorsement of jews, but I've seen a fair amount of video of Palestinians from various sources, including them. Whether it's genetic or cultural, they behave like vermin and I don't care how many die.
In part, because their behavior justifies the jews killing them, thereby 'kind of' making the jews look good in a 'self-defence' sense.
Hopefully Israel goes ahead and attacks Iran, and bites off way more than they can chew.
