The first video shows a professional magician doing a trick. Then his partner asks you to question every move made during the trick. He then goes on to explain them all as comprising the seven basic moves of magic, including misdirection. I think the most important line was, "Weren't there a few things you took for granted when watching that?"

The second video is newer with much better video quality. It's got a faster pace, but shows more and better misdirection--literally the smoke from "smoke and mirrors."

The third lays out how misdirection is more psychological and not simply, "Hey, look over there!" See if you can guess when it happened.

The total running time of all three videos is about ten minutes.

here will be no rain forecasted. They'll spray the skies and in about 36 hours it'll start to rain.

I travelled to various regions of one country last year and I was able to see this happen repeatedly. They even did it once for snow.

The dead giveaway is that they turn it on and off. Keep a little journal of when you see the lines, maybe take a few photos while you're at it. Then compare those dates to weather forecasts, weather outcomes, and (most important) when local farmers need rain (when was the last rain and what are they growing at this time of year). If it's winter, are there any nearby ski resorts that need snow?

...now they are going after the friendship unit...

I love that insight. We should be on the lookout for attempts to do that. Part of me thinks that is what a lot of the "social distancing" is about.

As for the show, I haven't seen it, but I've met gay people who think "recruiting" is hot. There are also people who are into orientation play. It could be that the content you describe was tailored for a target audience and not part of an agenda other than making money.

That was in response to your claim that I am somehow a simp or bootlicker for Donald Trump. The truth is that I openly condemn some of his actions as Commander in Chief.

My point in doing that is to explain my point of view that many, if not most, of the criticisms I see levelled against him are unfair and the reason for that is because the fair criticisms would actually be fairly levelled against the people those critics work for. I think the reason you see complaints about Trump's skin tone instead of him turning children into military targets is because Joe Biden has done it himself to an even greater degree.

I see no reason to further continue responding to you if you are going to evade my questions, gaslight me, and not engage in honest discussion.

Your long responses show that effort was spent and therefore out of respect for you I am responding back despite your writing being full of poor logic and enough gratuitous transphobia for me to think you're trolling or crazy. I'm not even sure you know what gaslighting is, as anyone looking at this thread can see I have in no way done that. Ironically, you seem to be trying to gaslight us.

You will find no issue with this post

I don't know where you get off deciding what it is I personally disagree with. To answer your question more directly: Firstly, in my opinion it is not on topic. Conspiracy forums are about conspiracies and not social commentary from South Park or your own personal crusades. Secondly, it almost surely violates Reddit's Content Policy, which I have linked and quoted for you earlier in this thread.

(In case anyone else is actually reading this, demanding answers to some long list of questions before discussion can continue is called a gish gallop. That's a red flag that you're being trolled.)

Ok so you are against the Babylon Bee being locked out of their Twitter account until they delete a tweet naming Rachel Levine as Babylon Bee's Man of the Year?

Yes, I am against that, not that Twitter is relevant to what we are talking about. I'm trying to explain to you why your behavior was bannable.

You would also be against Twitter recently locking the account of @TuckerCarlson until he deletes a tweet in support of Babylon Bee and for recent segments raising debate about biological males in women's competitions?

Yes.

And you would also be against Twitter locking the account of the Babylon Bee's editor

Yes.

Nice dodge of my questions and comments in the parent comment. Where have I seen this before?

I didn't dodge anything and it doesn't matter where you have seen it before. I hope you aren't still holding on to the delusion that I myself am actually a r/conspiracy moderator. And would you please stop with the questions?

What is the TOS violation? Is it because the topic is simply LGBTQ, and controversial? Is it reporting that USA Today gave Rachel Levine a women of the year award? Is it stating that Rachel Levine is a biological man identifying as a woman? Is it stating that transgender women are biological males? Is it asking if CIS women feel disenfranchised by a biological male receiving a woman's award? Is it by raising any question it might unintentionally raise awareness that the LGBTQ lobby have been repeatedly trying to erase and censor 200+ years of human biology, psychology, medicine, and the field of science itself?

You are working with a group of people in an attempt to harm the r/conspiracy subreddit. We know this because you were caught trying to bait people into violating the Reddit Content Policy. It is not plausible that you have a psychological need to remind transgender people about how they were born and you believe that conspiracy forums are the place to do that. Now you are trying to harm the reputation of that subreddit. It would not surprise me if your responses in this thread were a group effort.

Again where have I seen this before?

Irrelevant. I am going to guess that you have seen it in your very long discussion with the r/conspiracy mods. I am not one of those people.

I really am getting the distinct impression you are a mod of r/conspiracy trolling here to defend running a honeypot while issuing perm bans using private blacklists for wrongthink...Did you really think coming here anonymously to peddle the same nonsense and defend your actions was going to look convincing?

I don't know what to tell you; I did not create an account here to wait for people like you.

I hope that was all of your questions; you sometimes leave out the question mark.

We desperately need evidence of this!

I have to admit though, I am even suspicious of this post. If you check my post and comment history here, you will see that I have written quite a bit about this topic and when doing so have even used the phrase "don't be fooled" so much it's nearly a my catch phrase. The upvote pattern also mirrors that of the content you describe (currently +9 / -2, not counting me).

Even taking into account the writing style, this could have easily been written by me, except the OP knows more about this topic. There are some minor style differences in our writing, too.

I think it happens all over the Internet.

Here is an old video that has influenced the way I see things like this.

Penn & Teller - Lighting a Cigarette? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2azeC57Fn4c

Here's a faster-paced version with better video quality:

Penn & Teller - Smoking/Sleight of Hand Trick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4U-kHdXgz0

And finally, here's one that focuses just on the misdirection. It makes an important point that misdirection is deeper than merely creating a distraction.

Donald Trump made an executive decision to kill an eight-year-old girl.

For others reading, the reason accounts like u/dickhead22 try to misdirect you into thinking about illogical and frankly stupid issues surrounding their political opposition is because important matters--such as murdering children--are fair game to them. Joe Biden did the same thing less than two months ago, except this time it was six children. He deliberately bombed a house he knew was full of them.

At least five children were killed during U.S. raid on ISIS leader, according to witnesses and video https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/02/10/syria-isis-raid-civilian-casualties/

I'm guessing you would similarly ban South Park and all comedians whom you personally disagree with.

No, of course not.

Stating that a 'transgender woman is a biological male' is not promoting hate or inciting violence.

Can you even read? What you did was attempt to incite other people to hate on transgender people. That is why you were banned, and they told you right away in simple language.

I think you are part of a coordinated effort, and I'm sure the mods there do to. Your game is to alley-oop your daily reminders of basic facts so your bros over at TMOR can swoop in with enough hate speech to get the attention of the admins (who are also your TMOR bros). Then the issue will by why they allowed you to do this in the first place and after a long debate the subreddit will be banned.
