But if it is real, inserting a tail in the genome is like setting up a fuse. When you copy genetic information, it's 99.99%. Then, eventually it becomes 99.98%. Once you copy it enough times, the tail is gonna be cut off and the end-sequence is gonna trigger. There are some people talking about this kind of mechanism being present in the human and mammal genome with the ribosome-tail. Once the genetic information has been copied enough times, people die. Incubation-time can make viruses more devastating. An extra timer in addition to this would be a very bad thing.
It does not look at all like a fuse. That the end of the genome is going to decay after a time triggering something after the replication has resulted in the tail being cut.
