I paid for the shipping so that the buyer could have it for free. I also sold a TV, bought the insurance, and it got broken after delivery so they did not pay for any of it and I lost the shipping and insurance and the TV. I sold an e-reader after a few years because no one wanted to buy it locally and the buyer said it was defective when it wasn't and wouldn't provide any details. Ebay told me they would refund the buyer and the buyer could keep the item, so I paid for the shipping for the return and lost shipping costs both ways. The buyer also sent it without my original packing material and I got it in a beat up mailer.
