I've seen a television report about a guy who only eats rotting meat and says it cured his cancer or some illness. Not saying I believe it, just it came to mind since I saw it for the first time recently and apparently it's an infamous segment. He looks like a normal healthy guy, and then he starts eating this rotting crap. It's repulsive.
I have them all downloaded as PDF, main content only. Currently going through them and hopefully will compress & compile. The only issue is some articles rely heavily on gifs, so might keep those separate, or replace with the frames as jpeg or something.

This is the most detailed and fascinating series of articles I've read about how the photos and video footage were achieved, written by a skilled observer and expert in such methods. Don't get turned off by the sometime anti-American sentiment - it's nowhere near as strong as the anti-Russian seniment you see everyday on American MSM, but there is a tone of resentment sometimes.

When it was not possible to use live actors, 1/8th size puppets were used and stop motion animation. One sequence he points out is incredible once you realize - the rover pulls to a standstill, and then there is a glitch, and the footage switches to live action from stop motion - and it's clear the colours have changed slightly and there is finger movement from the astronaut where there was none from the puppet just previously.
Anyway, it's a volume of info here for any who are interested in the practicalities of this. I've learned a ton of new things from going through it. The later articles he begins applying his knowledge of NASA film and photo trickery to the newer MARS rover landings - which are more sophisticated, but still make some crucial errors, seemingly done for cinematic effect!

When it comes to more contemporary research on abiotic oil formation, mention should be made of the research done by Giora Proskurowski, a scientist from the School of Oceanographyat the University of Washington in Seattle. He conducted a study that “came to some very interesting conclusions. Oil, Proskurowski explained, could actually be a natural product that the Earth's mantle is constantly producing and that could originate from living organisms as small as plankton, rather than decaying old forests and dead dinosaurs. Proponents of this alternative abiotic theory of oil production believe that petroleum seeps through cracks in the bedrock and is deposited instead of being formed in sedimentary rocks as the fossil fuel theory of oil claims. " [Xxiv]
The work of the microbiologist Stephen Giovannoni should also be mentioned, who at the end of 2010 discovered bacterial life deeper than ever before in the earth's crust - to be more precise: 1.4 kilometers below the sea floor. During the analysis, Proskurowski and his team discovered that the liquid contained natural gas and the building blocks for oil, hydrocarbons. However, the hydrocarbons from the Lost City sea openings contained carbon-13 isotopes. They found no evidence of carbon-12, the carbon isotope usually associated with biological origins. Proskurowski and his team postulate that the hydrocarbons found in the Lost City sea openings were formed in the Earth's mantle by an abiotic process called Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) and not from biological material that settled on the sea floor would have.
During the German Nazi regime, Nazi scientists developed FTS processes that could produce synthetic oil from coal and contributed to the world's understanding of an abiotic process of oil formation. Proskurowski also discovered that the methane in Lost City did not contain carbon-14. This also gave tremendous credibility to the scientists' hypothesis that the source of carbon for the hydrocarbons in the Lost City openings came from the Earth's mantle and thus far away from organisms that may have had contact with the global carbon cycle on the surface. In other words, the Lost City vents contained organic material that was formed by inorganic processes - the exact antithesis of what fossil fuel theory postulates about oil formation. "[xxv]
A little later, a research team at the Royal Technical University of Stockholm under the direction of Vladimir Kucherov showed that fossil materials are not required for the creation of oil and gas. The Kutscherow team came to this result after they had simulated the heat and pressure conditions in the inner layers of the earth in experiments in order to generate hydrocarbons, the main components of oil and natural gas. They also pointed to the Texas / Gulf of Mexico oil and gas discoveries that were more than seven miles below ground; fossil oil and gas could not have seeped down to such depths by gravity. [xxvi]
According to Kutscherow, all types of host rock could serve as storage for hydrocarbons. To find oil and gas resources, his team developed a new method in which a close-knit network is spanned across the globe. The network depicts subterranean cracks and migration channels, and the places where migration channels intersect contain hydrocarbon resources, according to the findings of the Kutscherow research team. [xxvii] According to the abiotic theory of the origin of oil, oil and gas are formed in the earth's mantle (approx. 60 to 150 km below the earth's surface) through non-biological processes. "These hydrocarbons migrate from the earth's mantle into the earth's crust, where they escape or are enclosed in impermeable rock layers and thus form deposits."[xxviii]
Meanwhile, oil geologist and geophysicist David Middleton says of the abiotic theory of oil formation: “Even if the formation of oil were a non-biological process, it would not change how and where the oil companies look for oil sought that are enclosed in porous and permeable storage rock such as sandstone, limestone, oil shale and other sedimentary rocks. Even the crude oil, which is enclosed in fissured granite rocks and other basement rocks, had to migrate upwards and be stored there in sedimentary rocks. " [Xxix]
With regard to the thermogenic processes that he believes lead to the formation of crude oil, Middleton also pointed out how much sedimentary rock of high storage quality there is in the oil and gas-bearing zones in the earth's crust. The amount is so huge that every millionth part of it can contain 100 billion barrels of oil, although the exact oil content of the rock is currently unknown. Furthermore, there is no reason to believe that the earth will no longer produce crude oil from the kerogen in the earth's crust. The oil and kerogen already available may be sufficient to cover the needs of many generations. [xxx]
