I came to the realization that they wouldn't care so much if there wasn't some shred of validity to things (look how expensive old grimoires are!).

To boot, one thing that is really intriguing is you know how the Pyramids are lined up with Orion...there's evidence of other structures that have similar alignments with star systems (like how the original seven churches of Asia Minor in Eastern Orthodox Christianity line up with the Pleiades). I'm not sure that has much to do with sigils honestly LOL, the thought just jumped into my head.

The good thing about reality is that it is largely logic-based, so there's pretty much a rational reason for everything, even among occultists.

It's possible. That's why I look at apocrypha pretty carefully, because I can't be sure of the original Bible compilers. Even my Catholic bible says that the apocrypha should be taken as a valuable source of information, not something to be cast aside.
