My sister's husband worked at a music store, and became friends with Stewart Copeland.
Takes like two seconds to find out his dad was CIA. The connections between things are laughably easy to make.
U2?
You mean like a Sting by The Police? kek
LOL, here's another one....
My mom was grade school classmates with Frank Zappa at St. Wenceslaus elementary school in Baltimore. My mother is part Bohemian/Czech.
wha?
Great google-y moogly.
Vito "The Freakers" Paulekis was Bohemian royal scion.
St. Wenceslaus was Duke of Bohemia, and so......hmm.......
interesting, speaking of pop music history
The hymn "Svatý Václave" (Saint Wenceslaus) or "Saint Wenceslas Chorale" is one of the oldest known Czech songs. Traceable to the 12th century AD, it is still among the most popular religious songs in the Bohemian lands.
Believe it or not, this is just scratching the surface of the weirdness in my life. LOL
A lot to analyze...Geez...I could tell ya some things...
Paulekis joined the Merchant Marine in 1942 (reading wikipedia now), and my dad was born in 1940 and his father was a Merchant Marine at that time.
My dad went into the army and was part of intelligence for the 82nd Airborne division...same ones that were prominent at the Charlottesville "incident" a few years back. My dad was stationed at Petaluma in California, which I later found was quite close to BOHEMIAN Grove. Crazy syncs.
My dad loved running, and said he used to get the worst vibes running near the Presidio.
Zappa and Don Van Vliet met through their fathers being stationed together (and lived in the same neighborhood) at a chemical weapons plant.
Gotta look into Don Van Vilet...also my sister would have been the one to see the Marilyn Monroe autograph in the bathroom...I thought you were talking about my mom's school. But my sister never went to Laurel Canyon that I know...the video was shot on a double decker bus driving around LA (and he had goofy ass billboards posted all around that you can see in the background).
But the "I hate a careless man" video shoot...pretty strange.
