With police on the way, the elderly man for some reason decides against barricading himself somewhere and instead goes downstairs to get in a physical struggle with crazy guy in his underwear who is half his age, about twice his weight and ho is armed with a hammer (which in this scenario Depape has been wielding the entire time) and as police enter, he is hit in the head by Depape.
