Those poor guys were targeted for testing of the biometric health/payment passports, though -- sponsored by MasterCard and GAVI https://www.mintpressnews.com/africa-trust-stamp-covid-19-vaccine-record-payment-system/269346/

Guess all the world's a lab...
I...just...well...
I've been saving some of these for myself as a record of how things have been reported over the last year and a half. Ever increasingly, I'm having a difficult time sorting this shit into the "informative" or "meme" buckets .win provides by default. It's stunning that this is what passes for "news" at this point.
Since 2020, some 27 states have hired ID.me for unemployment verification, including Pennsylvania, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.
We are also now under contract with an additional two states. ID.me Spokesman Nicholas Michael told The Epoch Times. “Our federal partners include the Department of Veterans Affairs and Social Security Administration.
Love the subcontractor that is requiring faceprint/voiceprint, credit history, collects location data/ip address and regularly reports in data batches to the government.
Is this where we see the real rollout of the digital biometric ID tied to all of your things? Restricting services with the vaxpass as New York is is observably hamfisted, but here...
Will the two unite? All of these systems are coming online so fast, it seems like more of a "when" than an "if"...
Totalitarian garbage, all of it.
My small non-profit elected to do the same. Just prior, they rolled out extra vacation time for the vaccinated if they would allow HR to get a photocopy of their vax card and keep it on file -- so they have a pretty good idea as to who is and who isn't.
Unvaccinated people will be required to wear masks at all times and will not be able to use some of the common areas, like the gym. Enforcement of masks was tight where I am and has since escalated. Snitch culture is rampant.
It's kind of incredible -- what was once a relatively decent place to work is now utterly miserable.

The emergency declarations need to go.
Even in current safe havens like South Dakota and Florida they persist, as does the absurd 'rule by executive order' our leaders have taken to in its wake. https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/state/gov-desantis-extends-floridas-covid-19-state-of-emergency-again
Also, as a total side note, experimental 'gene drive' mosquitos are being released over a period of 12 weeks in Florida. https://www.newsweek.com/florida-keys-mosquito-experiment-oxitec-genetically-modified-1587044
Currently, the EGT, the PCR tests, the mask mandates are all 'tools' made available via the emergency declaration/EUA.
We absolutely will need mutual aid communities, just not sure Florida is the incredible safe haven it is being billed as right now.
I thought the postal service had this one in the bag:
What blows my mind is that this is how so many of the “covid vaccine”-related injury stories go, I’m not sure what to make of it:
https://www.the-sun.com/news/2747468/mums-legs-erupted-rash-blisters-after-covid-vaccine/
She said: "I’m not an anti-vaxxer or anything, even now, but I’m not allowed to get the second dose to be on the safe side.
“I still believe people should be vaccinated and the amount of people that have had it and have been okay shows that it is safe for most."
“He tells 8News that he’s still very weak and that it will take some time for him to fully recover, but he’s thankful to have received his dose.”
I mean, what IS that??
Not soon enough. :|
She also got her pat on the head in the form of a promotion (not an Emmy :( ) -- I think it would take a similar series of vocal people from inside PA state government for anyone with reach to finally move forward and really investigate. All of those nursing home orders were exposed in the middle of last year. New Jersey's very liberal use of "Do Not Resuscitate" orders were exposed last year. Etc, etc. ad infinitum. ....And here we are.
I think we've seen borne out that "digital" may as well be equated with "eternally fluid", and therefore detrimental to the individual human being who will be subject to the whims of whatever governmental/corporate entities would like to fling at them (the relative ease and universality of update once a change is approved deserves mention here) in order to keep the identity "in place/turned on/in good standing".
In controlling the masses via algorithm, which is what I assume the concept of "digital identity" equates to, we throw out human context and move full-on into whatever biases are programmed into the sea of algorithms that will be doing the judging, categorizing, and attribution of permissions allotted to individual people. Those biases, while baked in, will remain largely invisible to the authorities acting on said permissions and with heavy reliance on the standing of said digital identity, you run the risk of shutting a number of people out of services and/or society as it is currently known.
Centralization of power has never worked out well for individual citizens, and a digital identity would see a power shift like no other. This centralization amplifies the negative impact of a corrupt state or racketeering practices enacted by companies to retain their profits. The enacting of a digital identity, under the most charitable light, assumes that governments, authorities, business, and power act benevolently toward individual people most of or all of the time. In practice, I think we have seen this is decidedly not the case.
It also bears mentioning that the emergence of the "public-private partnerships" proposed as the means of combatting fraud and cyber-crime have put a legitimate face on some of the most blatant corruption we have seen in our time. The proposal mentions regulation and controls upon such -- what will we have given up when the breakdown of said 'regulation and controls' inevitably takes place?
While I do still hold out hope that there will ultimately be some manner of accountability, I tend to agree with some of the others here in that I don't really see a reckoning on the horizon for this, as terrible as it is.
One of the most horrifying facets of this moment is that even in the face of revelatory evidence of corruption and deceit surrounding all of this -- it marches forward, seemingly uncoupled from any scrutiny it receives. No matter how large the revelation, the moment appears nigh impervious to new information or any real scrutiny of the old information.
In the face of real injury and destruction -- it all seems to continue marching on.
I just wonder what slows/stops/reverses a machine like that? The machine seems to be pushing toward a full breakdown of societal structure and social cohesion anyway. Governing entities appear to be ruling by fiat without much concern for the consequences. Government entities are rolling out mandates that are removed from all but the most superficial nod to a concern for their citizens. So many of these things almost look like they're written to be deliberately antagonistic. Walkouts, people on the streets protesting, noncompliance -- while those are all things we would traditionally turn to to push back, they don't seem as effective in a machine that wants all of those structures gone anyway.
How do we stop feeding the machine and retain our social cohesion in an environment like that?
