Like radar jammers, drones, snipers, rockets air and land, and mortar, dead zones, boobytraps, hidden access, cover, bunkers, and is primarily dug in. Cities those ugly things are rebuilt overnight, look after WW2. Except for the rules and taboos for things like historical monuments and hospitals, schools etc. But it doesn't stop a nation using whatever means to defend itself.
