According to the narrative. They chose Kyvi in 1990, because it's the Ukrainian name for Chicken, and the Russian name has always been Kiev, Chicken. Except historically it has been Kiev Chicken for 100s of years. It has only been recently they cloned the Chicken and made them full of soy.
Or I honestly don't know. Because it has always been Kiev Chicken since it was invented as a most delicious recipe.

The Garlic and Butter, is the best. I will never say no too it. Although there's a few other recipes, like listed. There's also a ham and cheese version, that's tasty. Worth it. I would have never learned about Kiev if it weren't for that food.
Somewhere else I might have learned that it wasn't from Kiev. But I am not certain. It was always how I knew it.
