What you have to remember is that the sun is about 3000-4000 miles above us. If you was watching a sun that was at ground level, alongside you, then it should shrink and grow as it moves towards you, or away from you. But since it is so far away from us, it has already shrunk in size, and we will hardly notice much of the size change as the sun moves toward the horizon.

At about 3 miles the horizon should form from us, all things being equal. Once the sun gets far enough away from us, and you view it at say a 0.1° angel, the sun will appear behind our horizon.

Once the sun gets far enough away from us, you will watch it at a low enough angel, that it will appear behind the horizon, and no longer be viewable with the naked eye. If you have an optical high zoom device, you can make the horizon appear further away from you and bringing the sun back unto view, for a time being.

Length of days is depended on how fast the sun circles above our heads. Time is relative: for the sun to make one circle above our heads, the day is divided into 24 hours: One hour consist of 60 min, which holds 60 seconds: How long a second is, is based on how long it takes for the sun get back to the same place it is in the sky, one day later.
As the sun moves from the northern hemisphere to the southern hemisphere, the distance traveled for the sun in 24 hours increases, while the speed that the sun is circling above our heads also increases. Lots of variables, meaning counting microseconds (0.000001 seconds) is not going to be that accurate throughout the year.

The only powers Adam had, is the ones he been given from God himself. The life of someone with faith in the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is worth a lot more than the life of some animals, to God. So this is the way things had to be. God is right, God always been right, and God will always be right, the sooner you come to this understanding, the better.
Adam was given charge over all of creation. Once Adam disobeyed God, that affected all the creation that Adam was put in charge of, which includes the animals. As a reminder, animals has been made for us, not the other way around.

Choose to do it differently as much as you want, judgment is coming though. Once you are in a lake of fire, there is no more forgiveness of sin, and God is clear on the faith of witches and other sorceress. Learning who God is; takes time, effort, and much study. It is not something you can say a prayer about, and all your sins suddenly are forgotten.
Being in opposition to God is not something new. Man been the enemies of God ever since Adam ate the forbidden fruit; and made a run to hide from God once they heard him walking in the garden.
