Rule 1 is a good rule. Engagement being down because we don't attack people is what seems immature, to me, and I'm not convinced it's the reason things are down (engagement is down site wide, not just here). How does attacking people and not their arguments gain anything?
Overly strict enforcement has ended bants. We should all be mature adults here with reasonably thick skin, yet the policy is enforced as if we're children. It's stifling.

Fortunately I don't have to do very much, the people here are usually very good about moderating themselves, which I greatly appreciate.
There are times the filter catches handshakes that I then approve, usually. I'm also enjoying having round tables and featured docs and stickies.

Correct, I no longer have to wade through four pages per session of flat-birthers and Hitlerjuden carrying out the recycling.
