There was a thread on c/meta asking for an active mod a while back, and a thread here asking the community for nominations, but I don't remember seeing any official responses.
I think Pal and C are waiting for Doggos to log back in and add me. Last check in was 2 months and prev was 5 months. I'm not sure things have hit the threshold for emergency action of admin. I appreciate you checking in on it though. Admin is being careful to not overstep on this forum.

We could always try more threads, maybe enough regulars have figured out that we'd be better off with a mod, or maybe enough bots are keeping people distracted from organizing themselves so that it doesn't matter. Only way to know is to test ....
