Isn't it interesting that Jesus was called a mamzer all his life and he still rose so far above it that most people don't believe the namecalling anymore? When someone does so much of what is right it's hard to say he didn't have it right all the way, including when he spoke of his Father.
I don't think gays are one monolith. There are the pervy gays you see at gay pride festivals, there are promiscuous gays that are out partying and sleeping around. There are annoying gays where being gay is their whole personality.
But there are also gays who don't make their sexuality their primary identity and are genuinely good people.
Being gay is not a choice, unless you're bisexual. (That's a different story)
