But the amount of shoehorning Nazis into every single comic, like legit since the beginning I would say you’d be hard pressed to find any big comic that didn’t in some way reference the Nazis, have some storyline about them, have some storyline about some Jew or Jewish identity, it’s honestly astounding in its pervasiveness.

That’s the sort of thing where you need to be open to new/upcoming technologies, and basically always be looking at the potential upside or utility in something even if you personally don’t plan on partaking in it.

It really puts into context the reality that most "popular" movies only become so due to massive hype, not quality. Most movies which are considered, in retrospect, to be the best of all time were not popular when they were released. Same with music, comics, video games.

Sometimes it is, like anyone else. In the cases of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, it was genuine. Stan Lee was creative passionate, and sometimes unfortunately, a ruthless businessman. Jack Kirby was talented, but working class. His parents encouraged his art to help keep him away from gangs. His trauma from WWII fueled much his output, like a form of therapy. Nowadays, he has been getting recognized as a legit great 20th century illustrator, with the art world's bias against comic artists going away.

Rick Rubin is a creative and weird mofo. I've seen my share of documentaries on albums he has worked on, and I'd say he's legit.

Likewise, Clive Davis pretty much stumble into being a record exec.
