The towns get absolutely crammed during those days. I went to see one back in 2019 I think, and it's probably a good bet to be stocked up and that cell service would be affected
This is the correct answer. A town with a population of 2000 doesn't have enough beer for the 50,000 motorists who park along the road to watch it get dark for a sec.
And when they all upload their selfies to the 'Gram and call their bros "Did you seent it? I seent it." the cell towers will overload and you won't be able to catch a line out.
Gas stations are going to make bank, and then be empty/out-of-order/dry for maybe a day (or more if they didn't prepare).
"Seent" !!! Rofl!
Yep [23m]
What does this have to do with what I wrote?
probably because eclipses tend to draw large crowds to rural areas that are otherwise not equipped to handle such a rapid population influx.
Hey man stop using your brain around here. It's frowned upon bro. Your tin foil hat will get dusty if you don't use it ya'know?
Last eclipse, people were stuck for hours waiting for traffic.
A ton of people will be traveling into the area to see it, so it's just a good idea to stock up on necessities beforehand.
So when nothing happens, what will you do? I mean here you are, actually claiming that the government wants you to be prepared for something they’re doing, and you think people are going to go along with that narrative?
If nothing happens the government saved them money on gas and food because they caused inflation.. that's capitalism 😂🤣
When. Because nothing ever happens. And when it finally does, it's blamed on antifa and glowies.
I have insider information from my associate Space Ghost that the moon will crash into the Earth and flatten both New Jersey, and the White House. However, nothing will be lost (assuming Joe is in the house).
What an odd thing to say.
Jesus, and they always accuse the ancients of being superstitious about eclipses.
But I guess, yeah, if a dragon really is going to eat the Sun, then every dipshit is going to have to tweet about and will clog up the cell towers.
Perfect example of how even smart people say stupid shit because they read too much into things. Top comment has the reason why. Best part is it existed an hour before you made yours. You'll have mass amounts of people from all over the drivable distance in the country trying to catch this natural phenomenon along a small strip of land going across the united states. The 'perfect' places are not all going to be in a publicly accessible pieces of land so these people will all be congregated in those that are. If you've ever lived through a hurricane you'd know it's smart to stock up before the shit gets here because gas stations will be empty. Shelves will be empty. Step it up monkey98.
In your analysis, an eclipse is to be likened to a hurricane? If that degree of insight is to be considered "stepping it up", I'll take a hard pass on it.
Maybe you should have backed up your "insight" with articles on the devastation caused by past eclipses.
The dude was clearly comparing people's reactions to those events, not the events themselves.
If you feel the compulsion to clarify, then by definition it was not clear at all, was it?
Clear to everyone but you, since nobody else in the thread needed clarification.
did you think i read anything else in the thread? who cares so much about eclipses?
you're gonna say, "you do! you replied!!!!!!!"
hahahaha go ahead and say it i command you
Seems all you care about is being cantankerous. Well, have fun with that.
The eclipse is actually a fakeout by Stanley Kubrick and Jack Nicholson will appear with an axe and chop up the sun. My info source is a top-level nuclear scientist who is also a Scientologist and part-time tranny exotic dancer in the Target childen's wear department.
Specially rated glasses are retarded when everyone has an HD camera with a massive screen now days. Just use that.
Yes, just an eclipse.
What were you expecting?
Holy thread necromancy Batman.
That said, it's nothing. I was expecting nothing, at least due to the eclipse.
