Easter Island is an island they love to bring up in biology class in high school science because to the left it's the perfect metaphor for global warming. basically, an island that we call Easter Island once had a civilization that flourished and created great wonders, such as the stone heads that we associate with it. however, by the time the island was discovered by modern society, it was only full of cannibals. this was because apparently the society grew so big that it consumed all the resources on the island, leading to a big crash and causing the survivors to resort to cannibalism.
knowing the appetites of our elites, if Hawaii was filled with nothing but elites in all their extravagances, the resources would be eaten up very quickly.
