Read Plato's Republic, this problem is not new and he theorized the best way to solve the problems. Not much has changed since.
Personally, I would want a constitutional republic with the franchise limited to those who pay more taxes in than they take out in benefits. I understand the appeal of monarchy, but history shows that good kings/emperors are not the best parents.
In the end, you'll get an oligarchy no matter what, I just want my oligarchs to not want to loot the place, but rather farm the place, and have some sort of attachment to the land and people they rule so that in the end, they do what benefits them and everybody simultaneously.
Very, very long story short, the fundamental problem--as far as I can chase it down--it that most humans do not have higher consciousness and therefore no innate moral sense, these being one and the same.
If you can't find reference to this specific observation anywhere online or in any book written anywhere at any time, well, that's how far away from any solution I think we are.
So when I see less than perfect diagnoses and solutions come along, well, it's disappointing but then again I have to be honest with myself: humanity isn't nearly fucking ready to deal with anything close to the truth.
On the flip side, we have to recognize progress. I mean, ten years all this stuff you and I are writing right now, if i had been forced against my will to read it, would have made no more sense to me than the noise of a distant lawnmower, and been no more significant to me.
When I think about that radical change, I wonder what other similar changes have gone on and are going on now in the world that I just don't know about yet?

Understanding implies ones consent to "stand under" others; hence being ruled, while shirking response-ability (free will of choice) onto others.
