I'd get money out of them to use in the cigarette machine when I was a kid.
I prefer to see this as enterprising jewish kids being taught to fish coins out of a wishing fountain, which they can then use to buy shares in a takeover company, which will then use highly leveraged buyout to take over an innocent corporation, then sell it and make a big profit, and then make these kids millionaires before their bar mitzvah.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that as a teenager when I threw a coin in a mall fountain, I was disappointed when the Jews didn't come running.
The few suggest the many to WISH, verb - "to have a desire, or strong desire, either for what is or is not supposed to be obtainable", which in return allows the few to obtain, whatever the many consented to pay for their wishes, without much resistance from them.

But, Some of that coin could be a small act of "money is not my God" dropped by someone thinking of something they love. Could send our path in a different direction for all we know.
