I REALLY like Stevia.....as it's just a plant. Also Monkfruit is nice but usually too expensive. But thats how they get us. Make the shit thats not going to kill us uber expensive.

I think the trick is to just wean yourself off the sugary stuff. Replacing it with something else doesn't really fix the problem :)

sugars inherently arent bad. It's the refined sugars. Our body uses natural fructose and other natural sugars nearly instantly. If you have a some what moderate activity level. Literally a 20 minute walk a day after dinner can do so much for regulating sugar. Also apple cider vinegar.

You are right that sugar isn't inherently bad. What is bad is spiking your blood sugar. That doesn't usually happen if you consume fruit, because the sugar is usually bound up with fiber which helps slow the absorption. But added sugar in products or drinks usually immediately spikes your blood.

Stevia doesnt increase glycemic index tho dude. I have tested this with blood monitor that was attached to my arm. I tested a bunch of shit while insurance was covering that machine. But as I said. Cinnamon. And especially Apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon will immediately remediate blood sugar spike.

But I agree with EVERYTHING you are saying.

Formaldehyde forming as a metabolite is a bit of a limited hangout.

One reason why aspartame was first denied as a sweetener for drinks is because it is unstable in liquid form.

Aspartame in liquids starts breaking down into formaldehyde around 80f. How hot do you think a trailer gets in the sun?

Anything with high fructose corn syrup gives me a belly ache....and now it's increasingly hard to tell which products have it because it goes by a variety of names now....some of them sound innocuous....or they keep it just below the legal threshold where they have to declare it HFCS.....
