In USSR flu shots made with conventional technology was tried as a preventive measure, but was abandoned as they don't show any significant result and moreover, in some cases even lead to higher flu rates. And any flu shots was strictly prohibited during seasonal case rise, don't even taking epidemic. Use of flu shots was supposed before the season, not during it. Also, it was hard to predict what strain will prevail in season, so, even if they worked, it was senseless to do mass vaccinations.
So, USSR abandoned flu shots long ago, but continue to produce some quantity for every new strain, since then they was completely voluntary, but only complete retards do them.
After USSR fall here came Western BigFarma and advertising of flu shots appear again. However, USSR expirience and obvious uselessness of flu shots make that BigFarma move failed. Again, only complete retards do that flu shots here.
I took one flu shot my entire life. I had a severe adverse reaction. I ended up with herpes zoster (shingles), and an infection that spread to my ear canal and ruptured my eardrum. I’m thankful I had it happen before Covid because it made me skeptical of the vaccine industry but just a PSA to anyone reading just like OP is saying. All flu shots are bogus, and have danger.
Alberto Granado, who has died aged 88, was a biochemist from Argentina whose name became indelibly associated with that of Che Guevara, his revolutionary friend and former travelling companion.
Flu vaccines are produced in the traditional way, at least for now. They also, prior to covid, were careful not to get people killed by them, like they did with the rushed swine flu vax in the 1070s. They do this, because they are a cash cow.
Had one, mandatory, for 14 years in the military, and never had an issue. Only got sick, for like a day, when I took one in college when they were offering them and I thought it was a good idea. Seeing as it was my first flu shot ever, I take it as my body responding to the new germs in a stronger manner.
Note, I'd never take one now, and would have avoided them then, if I could speak to my past self.

Most flu shots still contain mercury, or technically ethyl mercury.
