Thanks for posting. I had no idea these quotes existed, besides one sentence of the Patton quote. No wonder he had to "die in a car accident".

Dave Hodges of The Common Sense show has related a story about his mother. (Don't hold me to the details of this, but it was something like....) She was a small girl in a Catholic orphanage in France when the Germans showed up.

She was really too small to recognize if anything was going on there, but she remembers one of the German officers telling her, "Don't worry, they won't be able to hurt you now."

I'm of an age to know WWII survivors, and I'm fluent in French. No one ever said anything bad about them. The only problems were a lack of food due to wartime rationing. The younger ones (say 10years old during the war) loved the germans.

Curiously, the next generation -- born during or after the war -- just fell into the usual propaganda. Or, sigh, (((propaganda))).

Patton is a conspiracy all on its own.

Chortle!

But honestly, if you had asked me in 2016, I probably would have said 'history is basically the truth...'

"The forced labor camps were fantastic. Best slavery I ever experienced" --prisoner of war

"The Blitzkrieg was great, 10/10. Soviets put us under an iron curtain but would do again" -- Polish resident.

"Our country was completed decimated after the war. Would have been nice if Hitler just let Danzig be instead of risk World War II" -- German resident

The dropping of atomic bombs on two of our major cities was fantastic -- best mass murder in history!

The firebombing of German cities was great -- mass civilian death and a light-show!

Did any of that show up at (((Nuremberg)))? It must have, because that was totally about war-crimes.

It shouldn't matter to Nazis though. Hitler thought that might makes right, and was into Darwinian survival of the fittest. Therefore according to him it is right that Germany got pwned by another stronger group.

This was a tragic tale of what idolatry and trusting in man's wisdom over God can do. Germany was judged for it. USSR was judged for it. Now we are seeing USA under judgement. Everyone gets their turn.

You forget another few:

"Germany never invaded Russia. Those were just folks going on vacation. I don't remember any war." - Joseph Stalin

"People really like being brutally subjugated by the Germans. I never saw anyone complaining." - Jesus

Source: same as yours.

I fact checked a few, starting with the most 'controversial".

Patton quote confirmed. https://www.bartleby.com/essay/George-S-Patton-Rhetorical-Analysis-PCJWZDM6WW6

Montgomery quote confirmed. https://archive.macleans.ca/article/1959/10/24/the-difficult-montgomery
