LMFAO, but on the flipside most realtors work 30 to 50 hours a week and only make $25-$35,000 per year, so basically a little over minimum wage, until they've been at it for many years. It seems like such a ludicrous amount of money to pay, until you realize that for every 3% commission they make on a $500,000 house, they take 10 different clients to see a combined 50+ houses over a 3-4 week period, and then never hear from them again.

We have a neighbor that is, at least appears to be, filthy rich (i'm not talking expensive car and golf cart purchased with a credit card, I'm talking probably $100,000 of shit thrown away every year that people come by to take from their trash pile, quarter million dollar remodel, brand new fancy cars every year, tears out the entire landscape and starts from scratch, continuous behavior over the years, something that you couldn't maintain with credit cards or refinancing, etc.) from selling real estate, but he's been at it for like his whole life and has built up a brand of success.

No, I just mean 3% doesn't amount to jack squat until you work your way up to the big leagues, selling at least McMansions.

I paid a realtor for sex. She was part timing.

You think sales is easy only if u never did it.

She said a great line at the end.

What is or isn't important is often left to interpretation, however. We have this website to talk to each other -- the person who owns it, is he doing a bullshit job? We don't really need this, do we?

A common reaction to this is probably something about how this is a reflection of the degradation of society and how the young people or today something-or-other. But being of a conspiratorial mindset and knowing the grand scale on which the world is run, I suspect there is something deeper.

I just can't get the thought out of my head that there is some small group somewhere that has been working for decades monitoring data and events related to this and subtly shaping trends and forces to bring about this very outcome, part of the larger goal of weakening and destabilizing society, and thusly making it easier to dominate.

I think conspiracy theorists are going to have make up a new term to deride and dismiss people like me who think dark forces are operating at the highest levels to shape our world, because "conspiracy theorist" is already taken.

A lot of fake jobs are miserable in their own way. Some are nice but pay terribly, like security

Middle management is largely unnecessary. They're clueless because it isn't economical to promote competent people into management. It's better to promote a mediocre brown noser, that way you aren't losing a high output guy to fill a job anyone can do

Anything even 2 degrees away from the foundation workers starts to be dysfunctional. I work at a very small company that's still terribly mismanaged. The entire hierarchy is owner > manager > worker

Yep. It's absurd how they can afford to live like that when their companies are practically failures. None of my companies clients are satisfied. We're probably about to fail every deadline. And nothing will change because regulations entirely prevent competition. It was the same when I did security. We had a client with huge money that was constantly paying for shifts with no one on them. Years later it'll be the same deal, cause it's not like any of us are allowed to compete

I quit one of these jobs to do a more meaningful job, for way less pay and it’s backbreaking, and much more dangerous.

I don’t regret it very much. All of my coworkers got on SSRI’s and two OD’d and died because of how demoralizing and boring it is to be paid to do absolutely nothing… but you can’t leave! Have to show up for pointless zoom meetings. Have to respond back on slack if contacted by a manager.

It’s like prison with a paycheck. A laptop ball and chain.

I absolutely do not contribute to humanity one bit. I hate my job, but I need it to survive. It's super easy. I'm a data scientist, but I barely do anything, and I get paid more than most people. I want to do something more useful, but I don't know what to do. I need USD to pay off my debt and survive.

Do you need a degree for that?

Not necessarily, but it might be hard to find someone to hire you without one. I have a useless expensive physics degree that was completely unrelated to data science. If I didn't have so much student loans I would be doing pretty well right now.

Sounds horrible. Only a matter of time until the financial system collapses though! I'm hoping my GME and silver will allow me to retire within a year. I'll buy as much property and food as I can before hyperinflation destroys the dollar.

They already fuked you on GME. They literally changed the rules of the game to save the jew hedge funds which were destroying companies one at a time through short sells. They did it blindly and the should have paid with ALL their assets.

You got fucked chum. You should be a millionaire on a single share.

Absolutely. I'm still going to buy more. Anyone who invests in the stock market at all is being swindled. In fact, using USD at all is a scam.
